Most likely to keep the flow of passengers entering/exiting the station. But on bigger matches usually they closed this M5 station and diverted to the previous station to avoid crowding
Hi pal, I will be visiting Milan next week for the champions league. The hotel we have booked is near to duomo cathedral, what would be the best way of getting to the San siro and back?
Hi, Sorry I had to edit the previous reply. Normally you can take Tram 16 as you can also enjoy the views but on match days that Tram will not be in service. You'd have to take the subway M1 Red line from Duomo to Lotto then in Lotto change to the M5 Lilac line to San Siro.
The second ring of the stadium will be over 75 years old in 2025. Because it is a protected historical building, it can no longer be demolished. Since the stadium will host the Olympics in 2026, it has been announced that it will only be possible to renovate it.
Do you know if I can use the same ticket to go to the central station and then go to San Siro? or because they are different areas should I buy another ticket?
Yes, you can use the same ATM ticket as it covers the same area basically all Metro lines (except furthest end of M2 Green) also you can use it on Bus and Tram. You can learn more about the Public Transport ATM Ticket here on my previous video here ruclips.net/video/ME24VEXb4mo/видео.html
Make a video on pickpocketing stuff which happen quite frequently in metro
Will do.
Awesome! thanks for the video
Thank you so much 😊
Nice video! I have a question for you. Why do we have to check through the metro gate on the matchday?

@@StrollingAround I'm going to watch a match against Sassuolo on 30.12, so I hope this M5 station won't be closed.

This is great news, thank you so much for sharing. The design and the history of San Siro stadium should always be inseparable part of Milan.
