I grew up with ttg so I like it but I understand why most ppl “hate” it it’s mostly butt jokes and such but when u grow up with something it gives u that nostalgic feeling

Cyborg’s song is one from the 80’s that got big again due to TTG, before I sure didn’t know it existed and man do I love it. I still don’t care for the show itself, but I’m glad it introduced me to some fun little songs here and there.

For me, I really like some of the styles TTG uses but it's slightly annoying because it shows the crew could do really cool stuff but they just...don't 😅 And then as some people mentioned in the chat, CN overplaying it as well as canceling or underplaying other stuff was part of my annoyance with it. The humor didn't help. I'd be lying if I didn't say it could be funny at least sometimes but the vast majority of the time, it's not my thing. Also with the style thing, I could be wrong but I'm pretty sure most style changes are hand drawn as opposed to puppets, so it makes me even more annoyed because they could've hand drawn the OG Titans in their crossover special and they just didn't and they looked so bad 😭
I hated it when it came out but I remember having an undying hatred for it when it was overplayed on CN for many years and that made it difficult for me to catch when new Steven Universe episodes came out 😭😭
Like ik it probably wasnt TTG's fault that SU had such a fucked up release schedule but it was a little infuriating when i would turn on the tv expecting something decent and all i got was TTG toilet humor or something 😭
It’s definitely really funny at times and it has some real bangers but I hate how they weirdly sexualize raven 😭

@@NaishiYT That's the great thing about opinions, I can have mine and you can be wrong ✨ It's a toss up to whether you're right in that TTG wasn't made to appeal to TT fans in _some_ capacity (else, why would they have made it a TT show when they could've just made an original series) but CN was absolutely pushing TTG to TT fans as though it were, just so it could actually have an audience to air to to give time for a new audience to build when TT fans eventually, inevitably dissipated 💀 Then they pretended they were advertising something completely unrelated to anything Teen Titans the whole time, even wasting entire episodes on calling itself a bad show, no duh people would be annoyed. CN set themselves up for failure there, that's their own fault. And beyond that, like I said, a bunch of the jokes and episodes are just bad; a few good ones here or there aren't going to save that.
If you like it, cool, I do not care, the beginning is a joke if you needed it spelled out. I'm not telling you not to enjoy it. But it's not a very good quality show, and telling me to 'get over it' doesn't magically make it better 🤣

Believe it or not I grew up watching TTG so I could never muster any hate towards the show. Now I did stop watching it but I don’t really watch cartoons anymore. But it’s always nostalgic

I don't like teen titans go, I might even go as far as to say I hate it(not because of the original, im just not a fan of the humor in most cases) but id be lying if I said they have no good songs, I regularly listen to catching villains, and the fact they change styles in animation is cool like scoot was saying
TTG is so over hated bro, people are always comparing it to the original Teen Titans even though it’s not even trying to be that, like it’s a dumb comedy show meant for little kids and people are expecting it to be the same quality as Teen Titans, a story driven action series 😂 Even the creators acknowledge that, they made a episode where the whole joke was that Teen Titans was way better than Teen Titans Go and the Teen Titan fans still got heated at them, like what are you mad for? The creators are agreeing with you 💀

@@majesticmo5048 and is the quality bad? Sure it’s a dumb comedy but they put actual effort in some of the episodes, they make actual good music for the show and animate in different art styles sometimes. To me the quality is pretty good for a dumb comedy cartoon
@Bubba Inc the show is popular because they spammed it on the network for years. Regular show, adventure time and gumball were all barely aired but still regularly matched or surpassed ttg in viewership
Honestly, episodes where they tried to talk to the original's fans were annoying because they were taking time away from their audience to talk to us. Those episodes wouldn't be as fun to the target audience because they don't know what's going on. I don't really care if TTG wanted to be more comedic (most jokes still suck but I digress) but make content for your target audience, not people who aren't watching. Also, TTG being overplayed did _not_ help me to like it, especially since other shows were being underplayed and eventually cancelled. It does have some good aspects and even good episodes here and there. But there's just too much bad imo.
Also, we compared it to the original because CN acted like it was gonna be a continuation or something made for fans of the original. Everyone's personalities sucked too.

I personally like this show, it’s funny. It’s not supposed to be serious, it’s not supposed to be a contender to the og teen titans show, it’s just a stupid comedy show, and people keep forgetting that

Eh to answer to why TTG was so hated was a multi-facetted thing. The initial advertising strategy was pretty "anti-teen titans fans". There was a lot of commercials that made fun of the original show, the creators said they weren't the biggest fans of the original, and that all rubbed people the wrong way. It also went pretty hard into the loud = funny way of children's show writing at its start. It got more clever and leaned into parody over time but it started with the "lol random" trend and people were really annoied with it. The biggest thing though was the airing schedule. CN had TTG playing for the entire day block every day for months and is still the dominant program on the network, only leaving space for the occasional Steven Bombs and other show's new episodes once a week while all the other re-runs moved to Boomerang. I was a teenager when TTG came out and was a fan of the original Teen Titans so I got swept into the initial hate. I still don't like the show, I'm just sick of meta comedies and it's obviously not for my age group, the writing can be grating and they're going for an Always Sunny thing for kids but it doesn't read that well, but I'll say it can be pretty funny sometimes and the animation switchups can be cool.
The problem with reboots is people compare it to the original version .

No it does not have the same humour as gumball. That just shows you haven't watched either of the shows. The only similarities both have in their humour is that they tend to both break the fourth wall. Even then gumball does it better.
I don't think it's hated because of the original, comparing TTG to Gumball is actually really accurate, because the humor in both is weird, and personality I don't like that kind of humor, and I assume that's why a lot of people hate it too, it's not crazy to like it or hate it, it's just that TT and TTG are supposed to go to different audiences
