Solos has always been my favorite mode and this is my farewell video to it! Still gonna have banger vids for release but hope you enjoyed the last of these formats!
Now that we've reached the end of our 'solos' gameplay for the foreseeable future, I just want to say how much of a joy it is to have been on this ride for as long as I have. Firstly, the community you've fostered is one that I'm sure many people are happy to be a part of, and I myself have been proud of being a part of such a wonderful group of people. Secondly, the quality of the videos that you've created has continued to be high and the content itself has been very creative and unique! I've always set aside time the minute a new Adritoma banger dropped, knowing that it was going to be something absolutely special. Finally, I just want to say that the advice that I received to improve my general gameplay has been something that I've appreciated since the minute I've gotten it. I can't say for sure if I've been able to put it to enough use yet, but getting gold this season has proved to me that, in some regard, I've improved because of it. So, the bottom line is, thank you for the kindness and the incredible content you've created. With every cheap kill I've gotten on a poor Adriana, I've realized through and through just how much I love this game and the community of people I've found myself in. With the eventual fears of 1.0 creeping up on us all, I think it's important to stay cautiously optimistic and be ready to support the game as much as possible. Whether that be spreading the word, putting out videos, or just showing up for the fun of the game in general. I think 1.0 is going to be something special, and I hope other people get to experience just how wonderful it is. So, Adritoma, as wee close out this saga, I'd just like to say one thing: THANK YOU. For fostering such a wonderful community, for having such a fun attitude when approaching difficult things like the inevitable 'no solos', and for being there to offer advice or just to be a pretty damn cool dude. I look forward to stepping into 1.0, and I'm hoping it ends up being everything we hope it is! And, just like always, I'll be right around the corner. Waiting to Q onto you, and ruin your Tuber game as Nicky does. I appreciate the continued support! But yeah I think it's definitely a lot more fun to be optimistic about the games future, but bare minimum we should have a few months left! But yeah It's been super fun doing videos and I'm glad you enjoy! I'll be grinding out videos on release, some guide and some fun stuff like this that people who are more experienced with the game will enjoy! hey im kinda new to the game (coming back after a year) and i called a friend to try the game, well.. he opened the game to make the tutorial and he accidentally played 6 hours straight, yeah he liked it, and as someone who have always played solo i realized of how much easier to learn is this game when you're playing with a team, tbh solo is cool but for now I'll not miss it
yeah as someone who has seen a lot of people trying to learn the game, it is a lot harder in solos since you don't see what your team is doing. But yeah i'm glad you are back and your friend is enjoying the game!

Glad you made this video, Adritoma. I've barely played since the Augment update, but now that 1.0 is coming in half a week, I'm actually pretty excited to play again (even with Solos on its way out). I haven't been keeping up with news and updates, though, so I was hoping you might have a resource or recommendation for people like me whose first Trios matches are still yet to come. I played this game on release and got kinda bored but I re-downloaded it recently , its a shame they are removing solos but lets hope they add it back again.
I played a bit of this game with friends at launch and got really hooked on it for a bit, though I ended up stopping because no OCE servers felt terrible as I would die because my character wouldnt act fast enough after i clicked at times :(. It's sad to see the mode I most enjoyed is closing and wish the game the best regardless, even if player populations are too low for a new server to be justified to pull me back.
I actually reinstall ER and try squad mode and I got to say it is alot less stressful then I expected (well I play on asia server and most of my team mate use korean so idk what they saying). as long as you know the basic it is actually fun on squad (the respawn also help to stay in game for longer). Also if there no body in queue it fill the lobby with bot and you can grind mission on that match lol.
while the duo removal makes more easily sense i think the solos removal allows them to change the design philosophy for characters to need less self sufficiency in their design which allows them to fit more nicely in both cobalt and br gamemodes
it has been a while since i played solos myself so i don't actualy mind them removing it. but it is still kinda sad to see it go. Since it WAS the main way to play the game for most people. tho i am kinda scared what will happen if all the super sweats start spamming squads
well with all the changes to characters they have made it feels like it is a ways out, like there's characters like adri, mai and eleven who got reworked so they really only work in squads but still im hopeful!

Just gotta add my 2 cents because I see a lot of doomposting. I'm gladly blessed enough to have 2 friends at around my skill level that have time at the same times I do so I can usually play premade Squads, but to me it's so much more fun than solos. I like being able to finish my build in 2-3mins without any laning phase and then just fight people. Mastery, items and "matchups" matter less in squads if you can just outplay your opponent. I always liked watching solos and can see the appeal because it feels exciting (I play fighting games so I get the "I did this" approach), but having straight up unbeatable matchups on some characters, some characters being outright bad and also the possibility of getting griefed early and just being out of the game all kinda ruined the mode for me and I think squads is gonna be way more fun for a ton of people.
yeah i agree with a lot of this! I think the matchups in solos especially for characters like adri feel polarizing where some are just not winnable and that's a bit turn off to new players. In squads it def feels a lot better.
Real shame they are getting rid of this mode and feels almost silly because in my opinion it was the best way to learn a new character without griefing teammates.
i think it's harder to learn the game in solos unfortunately. Even if it inconveniences teammates people will learn the game quicker, and hopefully with all the new player queue stuff in place you shouldn't really inconvenience others too much
a few reasons, 1. is so they don't divide up the queues and it doesnt take forever to find games. 2. It's more of a casual friendly mode which ER has struggled retaining players.

I've been getting back to er as well and have been solo queuing squads and honestly it isn't as bad as I thought it would be
I hope they give you the option to play solo and 1v3 teams for people who want to extra suffer.
But then again that would probably ruin queues
