@@themrseed2070 yeah espocally the fact that instead of using animated transformers prime toys they switched to using rescue not toys, the prime ones were the only good ones I've ever seen for the animated ones...

Pretty sure the first one you held in your hands is the same actual Bumblebee toy I had as a kid! God I loved that thing so much and took it *everywhere* with me lol I vastly preferred the old Camaro look instead of the modern one he upgrades to in the movie. I have no idea why I ever got rid of it so stupid of me :(
If you're lucky you can find that same figure on Mercari. It's the place where I was able to collect most of my TF1-3 Figures. Though be sure who you're buying from and if they're reliable because Mercari is a lot like eBay but way less scammy. I just say be careful because sometimes people leave out details.

The mainline Bay Bumblebee from 1- Dark of the Moon was amazing, the High Octane one was okay, but it all went down hill after that, and don’t get me started on the Studio Series one, the face mold for him is just creepy

Those are a couple orders of magnitude more complex in design and inner workings than the G1 Bumblebee today I had as a kid.
What's great about the movie designs is that they pushed what could be done with toy engineering.
