I have a 2019 Raptor SD 42 with a Kawi. It's been super reliable. I have 215 hours on it. Had a drive belt issue that was pretty easy to fix (adjuster and fan got loose). Other than that, it's been a beast.

Those aren't the commercial duty hydro's actually. They are the high end residential hydro's. The 3100 series starts the commercial grade hydro's. The 2800 series is great, but lack a feature or two of the 3100 series. The companies web site does explain it. I recently bought a 2010 model Hustler 36" Fast Track SD. Small as it is, it is actually a commercial grade unit. The Kawasaki motor had been kept professionally serviced, but the blades, belts and hydro's had never been touched in 14 years. But it only had 150 hours on it, so I figured how bad could it be? The right side hydro was very weak and noisy. I bought a couple of the triple O ring seals for the charge pump as well as a charge pump rebuild kit. Changed the oil and filters on both sides while I was it. The old hydro oil was beaten up and thin as water after 14 years! The new triple O ring seals did the trick. Full propulsion on both sides now. This Fall, when I service everything, I'll add new triple O ring seals to the other charge pump and the rebuild kit as well since that side leaks a little. Pretty cool retirement project for just $900! So far I have less than $200 in parts and oil to fix it up. Thanks for your presentation here! Appreciated! I am working to learn everything about them that I can. I believe the folks that sold it to me thought the hydro was dying and balked at the $2k the dealer would want to change it. I'm an old navy mechanic with hydraulic experience. So I just did a simple repair vice replacement.

Very impressive. I’d modify a couple things - install zerks all around and modify the spindle covers to be removable without tools.
