The art style isn't doing much for me, but I love the creativity being shown with the abilities, not to mention revolving around a shield. I'll definitely be giving it a look.
In your videos you can always find some new project from the games presented, even if most of them are known. Thank you for always being able to find something new.
@@soulsborneseeker kudos for your effort on this video also, I'm interested what happened to Last Vanguard been eyeing on this one for a long time but still no news as far as I know but it's awesome if you have updates on this.
@@luna_kits2345 Oh, indeed there's news! About three weeks ago the developer posted a new trailer for the game, and said the game is coming soon! So, hopefully, it will release sometime within 2024!
Thank you so much for mentioning ShieldBound! We're working hard on the game and it's getting better and better with time! Can't wait to show you more!
Wow, lots of great looking games here, but MIO hit me hard, love the concept and the art style! It's nice to be around in a moment of sci-fi history when a game like this and a show like Scavengers Reign is happening at the same time.
I'm not familiar with Scavengers Reign, I'll check it out! Indeed, MIO looks incredible, the art-style and kind of soothing atmosphere really got to me!
@@soulsborneseeker It's a wonderful science fiction show that is focused on the biome of an alien planet where a shipwrecked crew has to adapt in order to survive. The art style is mindblowing. It was inspired by the work of Moebius, a legendary French cartoonist. I'm sure many of us who likes to explore crazy looking worlds would love Scavengers Reign. I highly recommend it.
Another great video in your “Upcoming Indie Metroidvania Games You Probably Didn’t Know About” series where you indeed make me excited about games I didn’t know about, thank you! MIO: Memories In Orbit looks fantastic. Pipsqueak is another one I am looking forward to, shame it takes a long time for it’s planned release date, 2026. Meifumado was already on my radar but unfortunately the reception is not very favourable with “clunky controls” mentioned a lot. I will wait for some updates. Elderseed has a demo.
@@TaschNZ Indeed, Meifumado was a truly tragic story for the developers, they were very unfortunate with their funding and it had a very negative impact on the final product, which came out as a shadow of what it could have been :(

There are some REALLY interesting entries on this list. Personally very curious about Wolfhound as it looks like someone took Contra down the metroidvania route. That setting and those mechanics are not something the genre is generally known for. So yeah. I hope they make it work.
Indeed, Contra and Metal Slug were the two games I immediately thought of when I saw it! It's a very original concept for an MV, let's see how it goes!
