The whole aesthetic was faithful to the low-fi look of the original films. I love it. Makes it all feel more dilapidated and useless against the threat of the alien. So the fear of the alien is that much more heightened.
@@Hello_there_obi it's a game I need to revisit at some point. I bought it on release, during the middle of a house move, and barely played more than an hour before it got packed away and forgotten about. They really did a great job on the design and atmosphere.
@@ste309w definitely try it again for sure! Make sure you have proper separated speakers left and right spaced apart, a latge high quality screen with true blacks and a room thats completely dark. Trust me, the experience is incredible. If you dontbhave speakers for the love of god do not use a soundbar or tv speakers. Use headphones. Sound is criminally under-appreciated and abused and the sound is a big part of what makes this game so enjoyable and immersive. Try it and let me know what you think!
@@Hello_there_obiThe original movies were not lo-fi. Quite the contrary - it was the real science-fiction of the 80s. Looking from modern perspective - yes its retrofuturism, but I still find this version of science fiction more fun than science fiction of today.
I'm pretty sure it's a saw wave through an echo, and FM'ed with a delayed ramp. The cool part is making it sound like it's coming from one place while the listener's ears move through the scene.
This is definitely one of the hardest parts of the game. I died dozens of times.
Good 😈
Funny thing is, I first played the gaming in easy mode, and then played it in hard. I got away with this part first try. Amazing
@@chairmanxina2338 I mean if anyone gets to this part of the game, chances are that you already know how to sneak around and avoid the xeno.
This is the alarm i play on the big speaker for the new confined space trainees while they are crawling through dark spaces in the simulation. 😈
PLASE REMAIN CALM AND PROCEED TO THE NEAREST EXIT : )
Guy: basically crawls towards the exit
Jerry Smith: I kept crawling and it kept working.
00:58 Nice to see a Commodore PET still in use in the future.

@@spearPYN i get your point but yeah that's what I meant.
Wow, the end was like a true horror movie, with totally surprising!!!
Game captures all the sounds of the movie
so cinematic!

Tf were you doing... You pulled up the map and then completely ignored it.
the alien was SCARY the last surviver
Such an awesome game
I always hear it up in the vents. Waiting (and kinda assumed the player did too)
I wanna see more 😁
Did you decide to take the scenic route?😊
The ambush death is a very easy mistake to make. I'd consider that as a bad RNG call
I saw it coming
