I'm pretty sure Skeledirge is actually supposed to be a gharial. It has a skinny snout and the way the fire bird sits on the end of his nose looks just like a gharial's nose bulb.
That’s pretty much the only practical reason to use it They function exactly the same so it’s really no difference Detect does only have 8 pp so technically Protect is better, but you’re not usually going to even get a chance to use it 8 times anyways, let alone the 16 of protect Generally if you have a mon with access to detect you might as well use it, unless you’re planning to protect more than 8 times in a game

Team seems super fun and i like using electabuzz over magmar! only downside is that it looks like the team crumbles to archaludon pretty heavily.
I never really had a problem with Arch especially when Samurott Tera Fighting Sacred Sword into it

Chat, honest question: Why detect over protect? Only niche thing I can think of is to avoid imprison, but that’s a very niche situation I would assume
