  • Archbishop of Canterbury, Justin Welby Tuesday visited Jallianwala Bagh memorial and said that he was both "ashamed and sorry" for the crime which was committed at that site in 1919.
    Welby lied on the floor of the memorial after reading out a prayer to God to seek forgiveness.
    While paying homage at the Jallianwala Bagh memorial, Welby said, "I cannot speak for the British Government. I am not the official of the government but can speak in the name of Christ. It is a place for sin and redemption. You have remembered what they have done and their memory will live."
    "I am ashamed and sorry for the impact of the crime committed. As a religious leader, I mourn the tragedy", Welby said.

      @@vinodkulkarni8991 then what will be the difference between us and the British back then? Not all Britishers were cruel, a majority of them were but a very few were wise. And the one who were wise, who were with us, did a lot of good things to our Indian people. Today, a lot of Indians live in the UK and the people there welcome us as their own. If ever you get a chance, go to England. Talk to the old aged people there. Experience the love and blessings they give us. Feel how sorry are they of what their people did in the history. I've experienced it. And you won't believe, it changed my mind from hating them to forgive and love them.

    • @Garrry
      @Garrry 5 лет назад +5

      Ah yes. You are equating a crime with a religious persecution. Nice try you rice bag convert. Christians during the Bristish rule systematically started their conversion activities and continue even now. You are a prime example of the hatred they have spread.

    • @Garrry
      @Garrry 5 лет назад +2

      @Thanos ka baap I understand your hatred for Hindu heathens. You are a perfect example of what Church and Chrsitianity produces. Soul harvesters and religious supremacists. No wonder Hitler was supported by Church as was the killings of millions of other heathens across the globe. Thank you for showing what Church is all about

    • @Garrry
      @Garrry 5 лет назад +1

      @Thanos ka baap Lol. Church and Christianity was responsible for the rabid anti-semitism across Europe since the crucifixion. Hitler came very late on the day and just helped Church finish it's agenda which was centuries old. Pope actively supported Hitler during the extermination of Jews. And you didn't do anything for the Jews. It's their own spirit that they survived. You are like the butcher who will kill a 1000 and then save one and try to become a saviour. But then again, you are a Chrsitian. Your hatred knows no bounds.

      @Thanos ka baap The British handed Palestine to the Jews cos their empire was funded by the Rothschild family. Check Balfour declaration of 1917. Nothing is free
