Gorgeous place. We rented an Air Bnb for a month about a 10 minutes walk from here. We visited on a foggy, eerie looking day and absolutely loved it. Brilliant scenery and the terraces are dramatic in terms of natural beauty and grade too. Super steep. Excellent video guys. Keep them coming.
@@prabuddhasrimal6954 Hey calm Sri Lankans, why do you say Bali is poor attractions ???? you better promote your country than insult other places, and you know, Bali is not a country, Bali is an island!!
Have gotten hooked on your videos. Such awesome, fun commentary and production. Caught you, though, reversing at 6:44 to get the pull back instead of the push-in. It’s just my old producer’s eye having some fun.
Many thanks for this wonderful introduction to Ubud! Absolutely great that you guys pay respect to the local culture and custom unlike many who do not.
Great video! I'm headed to Bali at the end of this month and I'm even more excited about Ubud that I was before watching this. I just purchased my first drone and was curious if you had to get a permit to fly your drone in Bali?
Drone laws are a touchy subject. They are constantly changing. As we’re not officials and probably not the best to give legal advice on drone piloting, our recommendation is to check online before your trip to see if there are any new laws or requirements for flying. I can tell you that we've never had an issue, anywhere we've been, with airport security trying to confiscate our drone. Hope this helps! Safe travels!
Would it be possible to let's say get a Grab from Ubud to Tegalalang Rice Fields, spend some time there and then order another Grab to take u to the next location? I'm a bit confused about how to travel to multiple locations that are relatively close to each other (but too far to walk) without renting a scooter. Thank you!!
Yea, Grab works just like Uber. Anywhere there are tourist, you'll be in good shape. The more remote areas you travel to, the less of a chance of finding a driver who just happens to be around. Safe travels ✌🏼
You will not get a Grab in Ubud (or Canggu) - get a car for a day or half a day. Your hotel can organise, negotiate on the street or look out for booths - there is not much bargaining room though, the Ubud drivers are a tight knit group and you can’t bargain. Sanur is the best place to use Grab freely.
@@gwendarobb8667 Not true. We got a grab several times in Ubud. They aren't as abundant as they are in Denpassar or Sanur but they are definitely out there. Raluca- the most economical option is to rent a scooter. If you don't think you'll be comfortable on one then just wait until you get to Ubud, open the Grab app to get a better idea of how many cars are around & what they charge to go to different areas. Either use Grab or use the quoted prices to negotiate fares with cabs/arranged transportation (if you feel more comfortable going this route). Hope this helps and safe travels ✌🏼

Hi. Love your video's. A question for you. We actually visited last September and had such a great time, we are going back this year September. Last year we had car and driver which was brilliant for the 4 of us. This time there is only 2 and we are going to get around ourselves. My question is, how good is GPS in Bali. Does it always gets you to a destination. I know I would require a local SIM.
Thank you Raz! GPS always worked for us. We would sometimes download Google Maps in advance to make sure we were fine if we were in an area of low reception. Check out our guide to Bali. We touched on it there 😉
Recommending people use a motorcycle, you should also mention the requirements for drivers license and if one is covered by travel insurance should they become involved in an accident. These things happen so if you’re suggesting using a motorbike, it would be good to know about these other associated requirements.
Just discovered you guys. Loved this video. Awesome drone shots, amazing ECUs - wish you had lingered a bit longer on some shots, great info. Audio - Specially loved your jazzy soundtrack. We are a family of four / all adults I’m wondering Is it worth paying for a tour of waterfalls and the rice fields & temples or can we just do them all on our own with a driver? How many days should we set aside?
Int Affair thank you, wanted to know if we hire just a driver Instead of scooters if we could do it on our own or need a tour guide. Would prefer to go it alone. And I am glad to hear 3-5 days so will plan accordingly. Thank you

Ubud is nice with the walk ridg and the monkey forest etc but it's full of tourists everywhere. hi, quick question, did u stay overnight at ubud or got back to Katu? I wonder if it would be better to stay at either town? ubud seems to be a chaos hectic crazy city, am i WRONG? after visiting many rice fields in vietnam sapa, I wonder myself if I should visit in ubud as well or I should skip it? thanks again

Awesome video as always! So Grab is good in Bali? We tried Grab in Bangkok and could not get a driver that was less than 25 minutes away or that canceled after 5 min. Any suggestions on which countries/areas in SE Asia to use and not use Grab? Maybe Bangkok was not a good Grab area or we were doing something wrong.
We found a lot of signs in Ubud saying no grab/bluebird/Uber etc, they are encouraging you to use local drivers. Our tour guide told us that often the online apps employ people from other areas (eg jakarta) and are taking jobs away from locals. In addition he had a few horror stories about grab (ok not too horrible, but he made it sound like the minute you look away the grab driver would be rifling through your bag for something to steal)... obviously not all drivers are like that, and as he was a local with a local business he is going to be biased, but given the government signs were also prohibiting these other companies we chose to avoid them. Our hotel picked us up from the airport and this guide took us from Ubud to Seminyak - transfers with him were 300,000 ($30aud) per car.

Hey guys amazing video, im going 12 days for my honeymoon and i needed full details on best places in bali or would you recommend Thailand better??. Please thank you
Ubud is best place in Bali, but I advice you to go other place then Bali, it's crowded , and everyone want a piece of you, and they over price everything like sometimes 10 time more ,when they know that you're a tourist, and other cites like semyniak, you will find a price and in then end they add 10% tax and 1% service, which we didn't find in ubud , and one thing if someone comes to you and wants to "help" you to find a taxi or an office for tickets, be sure that ticket will be 3 time more , they're all in this together, the office going to get the price ticket and he will get the rest.
