The deku smash doesn't hit the characters. it's like a bomb that explodes when it hits an obstacle (other than the character).
so the ideal is to aim at the ground close to the opponent. The closer you are to the center of the explosion, the more damage you take.

The Kamehameha fires a faster beam than the Deku Smash. Deku Smash is a blast of air, and the Kamehameha is a laser.

Thank you so much, Tabor! It was fun to test these out! Kamehameha almost pulls into the player you are aiming at. It has a very large hit radius in comparison to the Deku Smash and is at least 3-4 seconds faster with deploying, too.
The Deku smash still hits you before it explodes. I remember trying to escape the Deku with the hammer at one point and it still hit me mid air
I once managed to eliminate someone in the air with the Kamehameha while my sight was blocked by a tree.

Maybe the deku smash doesn't effect until it hits a building/ground. Might need the user of Kamehameha to stand close to a building

That's not how it works
No. It either hits an object, or it hits a maximum travel distance and does damage in an area behind that point when it hits the max range .
Kudos to you for your pronunciation of Kamehameha. You are the only RUclipsr I've come across that has said it correctly. Those of us old enough to remember Magnum PI from the 80s will recall the Kamehameha club named after King Kamehameha. Of course, I could be way off and totally wrong. That foot in mouth disease.

Deku smash is only made for the ground it’s not gonna work for mid air so keep in mind, it only works for people when they’re on the ground

Though the Hammer, Kamehameha & Deku Smash are all fun to play with, they really take away from the core gameplay. What I am trying to say is that having these items gives you an immense advantage. If someone has these and you don't, you are at a severe disadvantage
I thought they would remove Deku's Smash for the Kamehameha, this is a first. Either way, team rumbles are really gonna get crazy now.
Kamehameha and nimbus is gonna leave in the next update
Team rumble is trash anyway. They removed the team count and people still leave the match en mass. I cant believe there are actually people who still play that terrible game mode over just playing bot lobbies.
From this I gather, it’s harder or nearly impossible to hit someone with the deku smash while their firing the kamehameha.

I think with the Kamehameha you can shift the direction as it blasts so you can hit multiple players and thus those have chances to survive but barely... With smash it cannot change the direction once it's shot but the one who receives the damage is straight fatal!
I'm pretty sure the deku smash does only damage on impact with some sort of structure and not the actual player isn't that the case? Maybe that's why it wasn't registering the hits since the mythic does usually come in contact with some sort of build or ground before hitting the player

I am 99.9% sure the deku smash ability only triggers the damage/ explosion once in contact with a surface not a person.... aka why you shoot in near thier feet on the ground or through a wall it works great where as the dbz ability is triggered the second the blast leaves your arms and extends.... so it is basically a hit scan attack over deku that is a.o.e

I think its because the deku smash is an explosive, so maybe try aiming it at the ground when the other person is doing the Kamehameha.

Yeah, I think someone mentioned it already but it is more of an explosive weapon. To where the other is a spot on lazer beam weapon.
You did miss. The Demu Smash hit box is smaller you have to hit it pixel perfect or hit a solid object to make it explode kinda like a rocket.

I think it might have something to do with the timing. Deku's mythic has to be used a couple of seconds before the Kamehameha but the Kamehameha has to be firing right before Deku's mythic reaches the player

The dekus Smash has to hit something solid before the gust of wind hits. Aim at the ground below the user and then the wind will take affect.
I think because both the Kamehameha and Deku’s smash Both shoot somethin like a laser, it can only handle one beam at a time.. I just think that idk don’t argue at me about it

It works like a rocket launcher, the Deku Smash has to hit the ground to blow up, that's what does the damage not the ball itself. Hope this helps.

I think if you are farther away with dekus smash then you’ll probably hit be the smash will get bigger for the players hitbox so if your fatter away it might work

Have to say when you use both of them you are inmune tonthe other the same apply to 2 Kamehameha ir 2 deku smashes the second yo throw it wins ironically this only works for these abilities since as we now if you try to use them they can shoot you out of the sky by the way both abilities have the same charge/casting Time so for an actual duela to work as its supposed you should throw them at the exact same time
These mythics are what make people stop playing. Adding the DB mythic is making everything worse, but at least we have the guardian shield, which is currently the most OP thing against them.

I think it does make you immune because I was in a 2v2 and I had a deku smash and they had a kamehameha and I did hit them directly but it did nothing. I hope they fix this
