    I'm 54 and my wife and I are VERY worried about our future, gas and food prices rising daily. We have had our savings dwindle with the cost of living into the stratosphere, and we are finding it impossible to replace them. We can get by, but can't seem to get ahead. My condolences to anyone retiring in this crisis, 30 years nonstop just for a crooked system to take all you worked for.

    There was just a disturbance in the force ... it was the cry of thousands of dealerships learning that even the Tesla key fobs can get firmware updates as part of the over-the-air system.

    • @stevemulcahy5014
      @stevemulcahy5014 3 года назад +3

      The time I went to get a spare key for my old 2006 Mustang and was told it would be $400 contributed greatly to my distaste for dealerships. Plus the 3 years waiting for them to replace the recalled airbag that would become shrapnel if I ever crashed...

    • @KenLord
      @KenLord 3 года назад +4

      @@stevemulcahy5014 Been there - lost a fob for a 2005 Mazda CX-7. Similar price. And when the car was a few years old and construction in my region had made the map / navigation system stupid (it didn't know about a big new bridge and feeder roads) ... I was told it would cost around $600 for them to swap out the map DVD.
      But I like Mazda and in 2016 a Tesla wasn't an option for me, replaced it with a Mazda3. Nice car. They promised Android Auto would become available for it. Two years later they announced that it was now available for my car. And that it would cost around $500 for them to swap out an SD card and update some firmware.
      I didn't do any of it.

    Could you please make a video on the quick facts to help me get more people I work with to invest in Tesla. Just looking for facts that Tesla has that out perform all others and ICE. I would really like to be able to just show them one of your videos because I seem to forget the stats when I get put on the spot. If you already have a video that's uploaded please let me know. There is a possibility I have missed it. 3-5 minutes would be ideal.
    Great job on all of your videos Rob keep up the great work. Forever subscribed 😁😁😁

    Webush production estimates for 2021 seem low... Im estimating more of a 400k+ Units in shanghai alone. Given current estimated production of q4, my stance on Shanghai 710k only for 2021? No way... Including Fremont, Berlin, and Texas? Very conservative...

    The deal with LG for model Y China assuming 2170 form factor is the model of what is going to happen for model Y production out of Berlin as well.
    They were very consistent in their message in leaving the 4680 form factor for very weight sensitive products: Cybertruck+Semi (plaid modelS and roadster assumed as well).
    4680 form factor, on a time frame perspective is way too soon to implement in a supposed start of production in Berlin in March-ish.
    What’s giving you this much confidence in 4680 inside model Y Berlin Rob?

    • @bigdream_dreambig
      @bigdream_dreambig 3 года назад

      The Berlin factory is getting all the casting machines needed for the structural battery pack for Model Y, which incorporates 4680s.

    • @TheLinkinc
      @TheLinkinc 3 года назад

      Big Dream, they are independent. It will have structural pack for sure. Drew baglino was very clear separating structural pack from 4680 as independent factors that add up a certain amount of cost cutting, range, cap ex savings. And mentioned structural packs would include different battery techs. Hence the separation at the presentation. Structural pack with 2170 cells. That’s what’s up at giga Berlin. No time frame for 4680, nor would it be a good application of the format when 2170 are doing great for model 3 and Y already.

    If I owned a GM dealership, I'd sell to GM immediately. The only thing worse than selling GM ICE vehicles is selling the future GM EV vehicles. Will they call the EV car "Volt Plus"???

    Hey, Rob. Thanks for another great update. Suggestion: would you consider an episode or mini-series on how to diversify a portfolio (which for some retail investors - probably like you and Gali - has a growing Tesla elephant unbalancing it). To make this concrete: a) Interview Tasha Keenly to understand what ARK would advise (maybe ARKG?) b) Interview Ron Barron about other innovative companies, and how he thinks about other Techs etc - you get the picture. Just think a level-headed (not financial advice) approach to this question would be super valuable and interesting to your followers.

      Great idea Rob in 2010 when i bought in it represented a 10% of my portfolio 32,000. its now 4,500,000. but I’am holding on that least double this before i start diversification. But i would love to hear what you would suggest. Today Dave Lee had on Emmet Peppers and in that discussion they mention what kind of dividend Tesla might pay out that would also be a great topic. Happy to be a patron supporter. Aka green fingers!

    I wouldn’t be surprised if some of the legacy automakers started cranking out vehicles, only to find out that very few of their dealers are willing to sell them in the kinds of volumes those manufacturers expect. That’s one of the big reasons why I don’t think the legacy auto companies will be able to make this transition successfully. They either need to go 100% EVs all at once to force their dealers to sell them (which is probably impossible), or they’ll need to ramp up, but I really have my doubts that ramping up will work.
