A few hanging plants fake or real and maybe a taller like tree type one would help brighten the space a ton!! And maybe a mirror like a big circle one on the wall or a floor length one for client and you to take pics in!!
Plants and photos are a great way to liven the space! I have a client photo wall of their nails or silly pics with them that helps make the space feel more fun and social

as far as making the room seem cozier, I would recommend maybe an essential oil diffuser or even an actual candle, fairy lights are also nice :-)
