@@Iveavan I'm not sure if it's TRUE but I've seen some vanlifers advising putting the carbon monoxide detector lower down as carbon monoxide is heavier than air and builds up from the ground. If it's up high it would reach your lungs before the detector. Like I said I'm no expert. Stay safe.

Thank you bud, probably more time invested then cash, using salvage caravan parts within the build saved a lot cash in doing so. Probably the biggest investment was the insulation, thanks to PIR had shot up in price thanks to a rubber manufacturing shortage back in 2018 and to the "Brexit effect ". But if I did another similar build, and if I already had an base van, probably a £10k budget would cover the cost of the build. But due to the poor state of my van, and having to replace the engine too, that really did bugger up my budget "😬"😉👍👍👍..
youve really put a huge amount of effort in to this...and money ...your obviously very proud of it and so you should be... ive the 08reg 45c..i think it is ..i kinda made it up as i went along ..its pretty basic but warm and comfortable and i love it and i to am very proud of it...its the nearest i'll ever get to owning my own home i did actually live in it for 8 weeks when i was recently homelesss..think i made a good choice in the van ... just sailed thru its MOT..thanks for your brilliant videos.. i really enjoy them
You have done a really good job on your van , I have a 2017 Iverco van converted to a motorhome by a motor home company. different to yours but still good. Enjoy your travels.

I’m impressed with the air suspension, lpg oven cooker and 230v genie, cool life styling touches inspired I think from American RV’s. Really like the neat dual solar and sky light roof design illuminating power I’m guessing all around the van.

Amazing van! You have done a fantastic job with the build. The good news is that if you have two 6V 400Ah batteries in series, you actually still have 400Ah capacity not 200.
Cheers matey 😉👍. No sorry, I probably should of explained better. I meant, "I had two 200amp 6 volt batteries = 400amp but connected up in series giving me 200amps (100 amp usable)". I couldn't find an 12v battery compact enough (this was before lithium was popular) to fit in the a small space without having an impact on the amperage I needed, for it to last at least 5 to 7 days off grid during the winter months bud, I'd probably would look into lithium now as the prices have come down a lot since I started my build bud 😉👌👍👍👍.

@@Iveavan I'm wrong mate always thought it should be low but looking it up it seems it is slightly lighter than air. Would you recommend an Iveco, I saw you had major engine problems.
To be honest, they ain't bad vans, just a little agricultural in handling / ride, I was just extremely unlucky with mine regarding the engine, but now having finished the van build and now I'm using it, If I was to build another campervan, I would use the Iveco, as an base vehicle bud 😉👍.

@@Iveavan I'm wrong mate always thought it should be low but looking it up it seems it is slightly lighter than air. Would you recommend an Iveco, I saw you had major engine problems.
To be honest, they ain't bad vans, just a little agricultural in handling / ride, I was just extremely unlucky with mine regarding the engine, but now having finished the van build and now I'm using it, If I was to build another campervan, I would use the Iveco, as an base vehicle bud 😉👍.
