      See, there you go again (to quote Ronald Reagan). Not taking the time to understand fully a foreign issue before commenting on it erodes your credibility while disseminating misinformation. It happened recently when you proffered motives as to why a Quebec member of Canada's parliament spoke in her native language of French while questioning an English-speaking witness. Scholars are held to a higher standard than the less intellectually ambitious hoipoloi. We are allowed to 'shoot from the lip ', not you.

      Mexican is a nationality, not an ethnicity, no matter where you live.
      Latin or latino comes from a branch of indo-european language, and that has nothing to do with native americans. Hispanic refers specifically to Spain, again, nothing to do with natives, unless you think of it as a language. Spaniards have many ethnicities.
      We can divide America in 3, but it is just ONE continent. We can say "Latin America" but there are MANY languages that are NOT latin, so, why latin?
      So many people are wrong in so many ways and the rest just follows, assuming stuff.

The harm here is not, according to this line of thinking, the slide into authoritarianism, the severe government overreach, suppression of freedom of speech or his hypocrisy, but it's that a lot of people got upset. It is… interesting… that being a defender of women’s rights doesn’t exist in the conceptual framework of much contemporary media and discourse. You can only be tagged ‘anti-trans’. It is despicable. Go JK!

    1:19 - As an American, who values the diversity of our population, I'm never going to understand the absurdity that Europeans, Britains, and Scandinavians are somehow the only peoples in the world that are not allowed to have sole control over their own country's' government and culture. Scotland is where Scottish people are from. No one who is not ethnically Scottish has a right to be involved in the government, nor to have a say in the culture. That is unless you believe that a group of Scottish people can reasonably move to China and begin complaining that there aren't enough Scottish people in the Chinese government, or that Scottish culture is not sufficiently represented in Chinese media.
    If you want to live in a multicultural, multiethnic society, move here, to the United States. If you want to live in Scottland, then assimilate into Scottish culture, and accept that the whole of Scottish society will be dominated by Scottish people. The same goes for every European, British, or Scandanavian society. The same standard must apply to these countries and cultures that applies to every other country and culture. The sole exceptions to this rule, in my mind, are my country and Canada. We are nations of immigrants who inherited land not first populated by our own ancestors, so we really don't have any business forbidding the continued development of our wildly diverse cultures. But the cultures that all the immigrants in our country come from should all be seen with the same level of self-determination. There should not be a different standard based the level of melanin nor lack thereof in a population's skin.

    It should be pointed out that one of the clips branded JK an “anti trans activist” she campaigns for women. I don’t believe she is, it is her opponents that branded her anti trans. It’s the old “if you’re not for us you’re against us” fallacy.

    This is all totally wrong. JK Rowling is not anti trans. His resignation had nothing to do with JK Rowling. You have not asked one Scottish person why he resigned. You are getting the opinion of people who don't even live in Scotland. I live in Scotland and he did not resign for this reason. He resigned because he ended the coalition with the Green Party and his party disagreed with that. It was the only decent decision he made by ending the coalition with the idiots of the Green party and he had to resign because of it. We are too woke in this country but that did not cause his resignation. If you are going to make a video about Scotland ask a person from Scotland about what actually happened. There was absolutely no input from anyone Scottish! This is farcical

    • @tozmom615
      @tozmom615 Месяц назад +3

      Farcical is maybe taking it a bit far but yes he should have asked one of us for more of the background. Arguably yousuf resigned because he ended his collaboration with the lunatics in the Green Party but this video is showing that his sharing of the lunatic bed with the Green Party was an embarrassment that was brought in to clear focus by J K Rowling’s refusal to indulge the delusions.
