  • This is a tour of the lifts at Hornsby Westfields. All the lifts are Schindler brand, including traction and hydraulic types. One lift is currently being modernized, and I visited it before 2023 ended. These lifts are very similar to the old Burwood Westfields lift, including features like the voice and possibly the lift itself. Even the service lifts here are the same as the ones in Hornsby. However, I will return when the lifts have been upgraded.

Went there two days ago, the second lift in the main set of lifts is being modernized. The original inidicator and original button are not fully covered up, however they are obviously disabled.

Yes. I went there at the end of 2023. It needs a change anyways. I will come back when they are fully replaced.

The background music for the 3rd you filmed, is Deja Vu by Olivia Rodrigo, pretty cool, sorry if it's off topic

How did you find that office suite lift what part was it at because I couldn’t find it. Also the carpark has the modded Otis Lexan where K mart is. Alex Staton films most of the lift at Westfield Hornsby. Piazza shopping centre has a modded Johns and Waygood Hydraulic lift I didn’t film that. Also the one that I didn’t filmed was at 32-34 Florence Street Hornsby sadly I was very disappointed it was a original a Johns and Waygood because I saw the older door track on the outside but it was modernise to a liftronic Nidec. The one that I filmed yesterday was an original late 70’s Otis Square Lexan with the analogue indicator at 28-30 Florence Street Hornsby. Also can you film some of these office buildings lift around there.

Yes I have recorded most of the lifts at Hornsby, including the Piazza. If you go to your right of the shopping centre, there should be an entrance.

I will be making a video sometime this year similar to TheDragonFire123's "Lifts we lost" series but for Sydney and in my own original style. May I please use a portion of the footage from 0:21 to 1:20 for my video? I will overlay credit over this portion of the video, add a youtube side info pop-up to watch the original video at the timestamp, and link this video and your channel in the comments and in the description.

The state of these lifts is a real shame. They could have been maintained so much better but they were left to rot basically. I would expect better from Kone maintaining them especially being in a major, busy shopping centre.

The last time I visited Hornsby Westfields was in 2013, and I never knew how these lifts were not in great condition.
