It depends on your height. Generally speaking it is supposed to accommodate 7 adults comfortably, with a little bite of space left for a few carry-on in the boot. For additional cargo i would suggest a roof top box from Land Rover, Thule, etc...
Yes, with $70,000, you do get alot for your money, except what you are getting is poor reliability and resale value.... with that kind of money, you better off getting a Lexus GX460 or a slightly used Toyota Landcruiser or Lexus LX570..... or just a plain old fashion Toyota Sequoia.....or a Toyota 4runner and save $30,000 for a Nissan Z370....

The Discovery has been rendered irrelevant by the Defender.
Debatable I've reviewed both this year and they are very different vehicles. The discovery definately leans more towards luxury than the defender
In Australia, the Defender is $100,000 more expensive. Hardly a fair comparison.
