Ah, if it's the ride I looked at on Strava then it was 4500cal burnt, and by that stage you're well into "eating competition" fueling to even try and mostly keep up.
@@ColinSmith2001 I cannot believe that eating cakes and sweets is the answer on a daily basis it all depends how much ... Anyone is taking a risk saying " everything will be ok ".... diet is important..
@@longlivefreedom9853 A big chunk of it has to be simple carbs, there's just no other option for the rate of energy burn. You can debate whether it's better on just sports sugars, or if you go with some sweet "normal" foods too.

I have to say, after Nigel's "gravel" ride a year or so ago which had you in tears, and him plotting in 10000ft of climbing when you asked for a flatter one, my opinion of him is not high. It's not being funny to not do as asked, it's just being an idiot. Especially with Amy recovering from illness. Yes Calpe is hilly but you can do less climbing than that and get a good ride in.
Looks like an impressive ride though, well done you two.
