She is beautiful in her own right. But she didn't meet the criteria one usually looks for in a beauty pageant like Miss Universe or Miss Nepal. In sports, different categories exist to make sure people of a similar kind compete against each other. It should be the same with beauty pageants.

@@SadSad-de2cy C'est un concours de beauté, donc il est normal que le physique fasse partie des critères. C'est comme pour un concours de bodybuilding: on s'attend à ce que celui qui a le corps le plus sculpté l'emporte.
@@SOT233 ben justement, la première j'encourage pas l'obésité mais là perso je trouve qu'elle est bien au niveau morphologie, elle a un beau visage et des belles courbes. Parfois la masse musculaire et les ossatures peuvent parfois donner une apparence "plus forte" et parfois trop maigre physiquement c'est pas forcément beau non plus

Does everything have to be a social statement. The point of beauty pageant is BEAUTY. BEFORE you start, NO I’m not talking about her weight in any way. I’m talking about her face and her posture. Not to mention her costume. Look up last years costume of the winner. Beautiful. Her? I don’t see it. She looks like her contender’s mother, giving away the runner-up at her wedding, hunched over holding her hands
They(pageant organisers) thought she’d atleast get top 10 role because she’s fat and people are too woke these days. I’m glad this strategy didn’t work. No hate to Dipika, she has some health condition, however I don’t want people to be fat for no reason because of too much body positivity. It’s harder for nepal to earn miss universe ever because nepal is a small country and miss universe pageant is all about appeasement to brands.

Beauty paegent's should drop the inclusivity agenda if they cannot have a plus size contestant competing.

She is beautiful but I think that to be Miss Universe she should also be a great example of many things including teaching the importance of taking care of your body, taking care of your health. Carry the message of eating healthy, the importance of exercising. Since we have overweight and obese youth, many are not physically active because they are only with video games and technology. I have never agreed with very thin women either, but neither with obesity. It's my opinion and if you don't agree 🤫 shhh.

First of all, congratulations to the deserving Jane, our new queen of Nepal! 🇳🇵 However, I would like to express my concern about the presence of a judge in the MUN 2023, who was unable to ask questions in English. I feel sorry for Sitashma because if she had a judge who could asked her in English, she might have had a better chance of winning the crown. Sitashma, please consider participating again next year in 2024, as you would definitely have a strong chance of winning in the next round. I wish good luck to all the winners, especially to Jane, who will be representing Nepal on the international stage.

I just can’t support a candidate that isn’t an example of a healthy lifestyle. Yes she is pretty but what kind of message is this sending to young girls. Yes it’s great to be self confident in your own skin, but what about health issues that can arise with a very high BMI, Diabetes, heart issues, and high blood pressure. In the age of everything being inclusive, some things are dangerous to one’s health. Having said all that, I wish her the best in all her future endeavors and pray she stays healthy.

1st Runner-Up is much prettier… she and the other contestants, and probably all Nepalese women must’ve been so offended when a plus-sized woman was supposedly “prettier” than them. Well, deep down everyone knows she isn’t, the pageant just wants to promote inclusivity, but still, a beauty pageant is a BEAUTY pageant.

@@nndayo6408 yes, and the beauty standard has been extremely harmful to the self-esteem of young girls for many years. To achieve these unrealistic standards you either require specific genetics that allow you to achieve this body type through a healthy lifestyle, or you have to starve yourself because many women can’t naturally achieve the beauty standard by just exercising and eating healthy. More than a thousand women die every year because of anorexia so I don’t think it would be the best idea to keep encouraging these specific standards🤔
The face and posture is the main issue. She looks and acts like 2nd place’s mother. BEAUTY pageant, not SOCIAL STATEMENT pageant.

Esta hermosa pero creo que para ser miss universe debería de también ser un gran ejemplo de muchas cosas entre ellas, Enseñar la importancia de cuidar su cuerpo, cuidar su salud . Llevar el mensaje de comer saludable , la importancia de hacer ejerció. Ya que tenemos una juventud con sobre peso , obesidad, muchos no están físicamente activos por estar solo con los video juego y tecnología.
