Dilophocon is just such a great, fun figure, and fits in perfectly with my Predacons. I am so happy with how this set turned out. Dilophosaur was my favorite JP1 dino ever since that movie came out, but if they do another set, I hope the dino is a Maximal and the vehicle is a decepticon so we can get a triceratops or ankylosaur.

I'm heavily disappointed in the lack of waist swivels on either figure, though if JP-12 is based on Dennis Nedry, does that make Dilophocon the hero here?
I am so not going to be shocked if Dilophocon gets retooled into a Legends version BW Iguanus. Tail blaster, beast head placement, neck frill, to many things in common. It would be a heavy retool but I would not be surprised especially with their dive back into OG BW as of late.
The first time I owned a figure before Emgo reviewed it! The hat on my Newman stays on really well, it's not fallen off even once. There's grooves in the back of his head and ridges in the hat, so if you give it a good squeeze in the back it stays on there rock solid. Could very well be a QA issue keeping it from gripping though.
If you live near an Ollies, they have this set for $20. Oct 31 24. Also, the inside of the shaving canister, the blue part, fits on the end of the blaster.
I have a feeling if Hasbro does a Jurassic World X Transformers crossover, they could use Dinobot’s toy mold and remold/recolor it for their toy crossover.
The helmet fits on JP12's head while in alt mode. And per the instructions, the "wench" for JP-12 plugs into the blue piece of the shaving cream to make his full gun. Thus making it bloosh compatible. Just checked. Hope that helps someone.
Just got this set for Christmas and it’s great. Goes well with the first set. Now they just need to make one more using the Kingdom Dinobot mold. Don’t know what the companion Autobot would be though.

After them, in jp1, the next iconic pairing was nedry and dilo, though that was more of an iconic scene and not iconic characters Now I also theorize that if there's a third wave they'll use grant and raptors given they were very much the protagonist/antagonists of the movie though idk what vehicle would be used as the jp jeep and nedrys jeep are used already and a raptor mold would basically just be a remold of dinobot
Absolutely, given that Hammond was made more well meaning, and Dogdson is more a greater scope villain, Nedry is the main human villain of Jurassic Park, not sure if the Dilophosaur should really be an Autobot, since it is one that just kills in the film, but at least it should've been Decepticon Vs Predacon.

The two crossover bots are female. While there may have been male dinos in the movies, the original film dinos were all female. It was to keep the dino population in human control. But aince they used frog dna to help create the dinos, they gained the gender-swapping triat frogs use when they're in desperate need to repopulate.

Weird that I look at Dilphocon and see a near perfect mould for the return of the OG frilled lizard of the Beast Wars: Iguanus! Even the headsculpt is vaguely reminiscent.
You'll be glad/annoyed to know the hat issue seems exclusive to your model. A reviewer here in the UK had the opposite problem with it being too tight on his models head. Great review, the more I see of these figures the more I want to pick up both sets.
I think the hat is infact the hood of a rain coat . As J.P.12 looks like a representation of Dennis, the fat guy who sabotage the park to get the Dino embryos out in the shaving foam can . Who then got eaten by the Dilophosaur .
Ollie's has these figures for $19.99 and wanted to see if it was worth it. I love the Jeep mode but not scaled like in the movie as the Jeep was bigger than Diloph.
My only issue is that I JUST got the first set for Christmas last year & now there's a new one, oh well JP is one of my ATF movies so eh, don't care in the slightest more JP is fine by me.

I kind of have a personal headcanon that Dilophocon and JP12 are more "secret agent" characters for each other's opposing faction.
