- Today, in our MASTER MODE Thorium experience, we go to the classic classes and see how it goes running only MELEE! We mainly want to use melee weapons that come from the Thorium mod, but we must beef ourselves up to the max, protein after every workout, bulk maxing to our very core. We have to be in arms reach of Duke Fishron to hit him, The Moon Lord has to be wrung dry with our bare hands, and even the Primordials, Thorium's final boss, must be smashed flat with our open palms, full melee style. Can we beef up enough to get by with a Thorium Melee Max build? Can we grow the biceps necessary to get a text back from the Dryad, or to serenade Plantera with the sweet song of weights clanging? How OP can we possibly become?

On the topic of skymill cheese, you can still do the cheese but you first have to place the skymill down and then break it and pick it up into your inventory. Buy a bunch of them from the architect, throw them on the ground, and pick them up. They'll stack onto the one you broke and they'll all sell for that skymill's value, which when broken retains the vanilla sell price. Think of it like you're clearing the NBT data from an item in Minecraft to make it stack again.
Did it in a calamity play through, it took like 20 minutes to get 200 plat by then I was buying 9999 per sell. A tip for it to be more effective is try to increase happiness for the architect, you buy for less and sell for more, probably common knowledge but definitely speeds it up, to get max happiness place him in the jungle with the painter :D
If you find the shimmer, you can buy platinum candles and shimmer them to sell stacks of platinum bars. Make sure the architect is in the jungle, and you'll get a ton of money in no time. Just five minutes with a starting budget of 10 gold coins got me around 100 platinum coins.

obviously havent watched the whole vid, but the way me and my buddy make easy money is buying rain clouds, clouds, and sunplate blocks from the architect, you can buy hella blocks and then make skymills that sell for more than the blocks bought to make it, clouds and rain clouds are in first shop, sunplate blocks are in second shop. more labor than the ice machine, but it works like a charm
57:20 To be fair, luck potions do actually provide combat benefits. Luck has a chance to recalculate damage variation, meaning you take less damage and deal more on average than without it.

You can absolutely deal damage as healer class. Thorium takes the healer path of "If there are no enemies to hurt my teammates I effectively healed the HP they would've lost if I didn't murder all the enemies".

Yes, Waffle, you CAN deal damage as a Healer. I've completed the game as a damaging healer before. There's plenty of good damage weapons armor and accessories. It's definitely possible!

Once again though I suggest a combined Calamity & Thorium playthrough, perhaps with Adrian. There's even the unofficial mod that adds post-Moon Lord bard and healer.
One of you can be a bard music maestro, and the other can be an epic healer supremo.
Something that might help in future playthroughs with fargo's mutant mod: you can craft an item called a "semi-bridgifier" which uses the semistation as the crafting station, and using it will automatically place semistations across the entire platform you use it on. Same thing goes for omnistations once you upgrade them

If you couldn't tell, it's my favorite Thorium accessory.
A good way to make money is with the alchemist npc mod. Put the dryad and brewer in single houses in the forest that way you get the discount from happiness. Then buy as many sunflowers as you can from the dryad(50 silver each, 47 with the discount). You can then make a potion called dopamine from just one sunflower plus a bottle of water (buy the glass from the carpenter npc the one with the construction hat he sells glass for 1 copper or 2). Then you can sell it to the brewer for 57 silver when she's happy(The brewer likes the forest so just make a single house for her like the dryad preferably next to one another). Boom 10 silver gained from nothing repeat until you get as much platinum as you like. It starts off slow in the beginning, but it picks up worst part is buying all the glass and making all the bottles. Its why I like magic storage they have a craft 9999 feature really speeds up the process. The dope trade is real and is in terraria
Whenever I watch this man, I either: fall asleep instantly hitting my head on the keyboard with unreasonable speed and momentum, start raging at the game im playing for small reasons like dying to silt, get energetic and go hyper for the next couple of hours after video ends feeling like I could fight god or start laughing so bad it hurts every part of my body both literally and figuratively... It's always one of those 4, never anything in between.

Healer is essentially exponentially good. You start weakly dps-wise, and I recommend Coral armour(healing+constantly regening shield for health) for a good start(other weaker armour requires Blood Moon).
After Blood Moon, you can both improve damage options and Healing per sec(gets OP fast). Most heal weapons are Scythes which give Soul essence(build up into more Healing).
Healing also has two variations: Dps Healing and Team/Personal Healing. The sheer amount of healing can make you immortal(especially if you dodge slightly and focus on bonus Healing). Healing Dps is more linked to Soul essence and usually scales with dps.
Overall, the early game will be slower than usual and the mid/late game should go more than smoothly
Thorium healer class has support weapons and normal weapons, the normal weapons are pretty much the same level as other classes though all parts of the game. Happy Days has a playthrough of a solo healer class lets play from a few months back.

Only reason it took me so long to watch this video is that waffletime inspired me to go back and play Thorium again. I really liked Calamity, all the way up until the post moon lord content, which always felt like a poorly paced power creep riddled slog where you constantly have to upgrade your equipment with increasingly outrageous crafting trees, but Thorium has no such issues, elegantly adding to base Terraria without the need to always outdo both the vanilla game or itself, content to add its own stuff and be big chilling. I’m confident saying Thorium is the better mod.
My personal money scandal when it comes to Terraria Modding is buying stacks upon stacks of Meteorite bricks from the Architect, then shimmering them, then selling bars back to basically anyone. I don't even use the meteorite for armor or weapons, I just sell 100% of what I buy.
It's a little more of a process than the ice thing since you gotta find the Shimmer first, but it's just as reliable.

There is another money dupe with the builder. Its a pain in the ass but you could shimmer meteorite bricks and sell the meteorite bars for a good ton of money.
The goblin tinker is just the friends we didn't make along the way.

when you do your healer run, do multiplayer with sipho and co, so u can get the true feel for it
Collecting those 2 Mushrooms at the start of the run after you turned away from the corruption were definatly the thing that made this run even possible.

Ill put my comment here regarding healer. It is 100% possible to do solo healer, its just that you cant use some items because they can only heal allies. Armor sets you can get either healing ones for survivability or damage ones for damage. Another little tip, if an item with the "-Healer Class-" tag has a purple tag instead of a yellow one, it means its a damage healer item, using any item that corrupts your healing powers will also cause any weapon (not healing items) to have their tag changed from yellow to purple. Also since thorium has updated since i last tried solo healer, theres probs more options to make it more doable than then i did my run

I decided to play thorium bc of your previous movies, and i played as healer. All i can say is thst if you want big damage, use the weapons that consume your life and the armor sets that give your attacks dark energy
I have started using strategies from these playthroughs. For instance, remaining calm at even the toughest of times and never saying a single swear word.
I just did a healer class run and i think early game will be hard but once you get going you become an unkillable god that can smite your foes
the ice machine dupe does still work, you just have to buy the materials to craft one from the architect, sell it to him, buy it back, stack the ones he sells into the one your holding, rinse repeat.

For next time, you can dupe really fast cash by using the shimmer.
Architect sells plat candelabra for 5 silver which is made of 5 plat bars.
Buy as many candelabras as you can, shimmer them, sell the platinum.
Btw, the reason why the shimmer flooded is the depths, because it replaces air blocks in the biome with water, which flows down and floods everything

for healer, i highly recommend doing it with a friend
while there _are_ plenty of weapons which work for the healer class, if youre going solo it basically feels like a less in depth mage with like a couple weapons that break that mold. the coolest stuff comes from the synergy you can do with a friend, where you both become basically immortal and where you actually feel like a healer
The money glitch works if you buy a station place it and then pick it back up all while in the npcs menu.
Imagine having problems with EoW's vile spit.. as the melee class.
