There's a stigma around the dark web; everyone says absolutely everything on there is illegal. Now, Of course there are some things on the DW that are more legal then the CW but all the legit sites are difficult to find on there. Most well known websites were sketchy back in the day but now since it's become a mainstream, cops spend alot of times behind these sites to catch buyers.
And like I said, not everything's illegal, I've found alot of chatrooms that weren't at all related to child porn and I've never even found a snuff film; very few people have witnessed a legitimate snuff film. If anything, there's alot of anarchy on the DW, and that makes a majority of the people on there; their not pedos, their anarchists. At least in my expirience.
Ulbricht only went on with it because he was profiting.

Dark doesn't mean down*. it's more like all the alleys and dark corners on surface-level streets get special doors, connected in a way to make travelers difficult to follow. *Dark* here refers to the lack of continuous signal -- like turning off all your devices and 'going dark' -- your continuous, individual signal goes wide...not deep.

And the Dark Web doesn't automatically bounce your single around, you have to download a IPS scrambler, just not that it has to be a good one so when you get into a website or camera feed share that you don't belong in. You will not be found, also you need to cover your webcam off, your phone off and use a computer that doesn't lead back to you, like go into a cafe or library.

I think you assume a lot about something you only have a passing understanding of.
The absolute most terrifying thing any user could face is having their system hacked and all of their private info (bank account, passwords, social security number, etc) being stolen and used for sinister means, (extortion, fraud, blackmail, etc).
Don't use it unless you know how to fully protect yourself first, not from the horrifying things you'll see, but from the horrifying things you'll experience in reality.
Trust me, if they want you found, you will be found. Don't be naive.

I find it very peculiar that things on the dark web are leaking into mainstream platforms. I remember scrolling on TikTok 3 years back and I witnessed an old dark video of a guy shooting himself with a shotgun. All I wanted was cat videos
Surprisingly, those types of videos already existed on the clearnet since a long time ago, and they're still here today. It's just that you don't think about finding those stuff on the clearnet in the first place.
