god i love how it shows off how good the songwriting of modern pop still is this genuinely felt like a 70s version from a queen-tier band it was amazing
@@rhettmitchellWell, they write their lyrics. They have professional songwriters for the production and instruments (and usually the melody). This song was done by Jack Antonoff, you can see some videos where he broke down how he did it.
@@Fematika that's because Jack Antonoff is actually brilliant and easily one of the most talented producers working today, I'm not even a fan of most of the artists that he works with, but the stuff that he collaborates with them on, are almost always great tracks. Dude has a knack for composing super catchy pop tunes.
I was going to comment that this format seems copied from Drumeo, but then after researching online, this channel was previously named Guitareo (also founded by Jared Falk) and rebranded to Musora. I look forward to more videos and I love how your team expanded the concept from Drumeo where you first started.
@@Crunchy-Peanuts I watched this first and then watched the other one so i am not initially aware of brandon's appearance. although the first video was recommended to me for days 😆
I mean it’s not like it’s novel to take a video of musicians musicianing. It’s a sweet format and different musicians will bring their own flair, you know?
I’ve seen Brass Camel a few times now and they always blow my mind. These guys are some of the BEST live performers I’ve EVER seen. If you ever have a chance to go see them, GO SEE THEM!!!!
I absolutely love this band's take, and I especially love the way you captured the creative process. The way they were talking back and forth shows how collaborative an effort it is.
Mannnn I love seeing other bands do the whole "then like bleleleleugh and then BAHM BAHM BAHM DOOSHHHHH" type stuff and knowing that it's just a shared universal musician language.
I’ve watched this 4 times today? Something new to focus on every time. The bass tone 🥵. The vocal harmonies. The thing as a whole. This may be for a very specific audience, but it is me.
This makes the cover part of the song, the whole reason i clicked - so so SOOOOO much better!!!! you just appreciate it infitely more, please more of these!
I was grinning ear to ear from the moment there band started working on the tube.. Absolutely love the Drumeo series, and I am so very looking forward to this video idea (hopefully) becoming a series too!! Also, subscribed!!!
It's like I wrote a movie about Sabrina Carpenter and Barry Keoghan but it was a period piece in the 70's/80's and this was the music for the trailer, with some fun neon font.
I love that they included the frustrated bits, I'm no where near this talented and I get so frustrated when my skill level doesn't match what I want to do and what is playing in my head
I can't get enough of this video, I'm watching it several times a day. They look like they're having such a good time recording it. I hope they tour the UK, I'll definitely go and see them.
What an amazing cover. I felt like I was listening to three different bands covering the same song at once! So many different influences all mashed together! ❤
Dude what the hell I immediately want to quit my job and just come hang out and like fetch coffee or something just to get to watch this happen over and over again
Good Lord does this hit in just all the right places. And maybe things got a bit tense but those guys have an insane synergy when putting that song together. Three part harmonies on the spot, what? *goes off to check out everything they've ever written*
This is so seriously great - I LOVE this version!!!! SO much more interesting. THANK YOU for this! Amazing. SO happy to have learned of this band. New follower and fan!
Thanks to Drumeo for their reimagine drums content that made many creators to come up with content like this👍🏻 I as a teenager used to do it in my guitar, keep it coming guys❤️
Way to go guys... that was informative, interesting, ingenious, incredible and inspiring. Can't wait until you get back to Van Isle! This time ya gotta hit 'Mo-town (the Queen's is only 4 blocks away from our new abode!) ;-)
Huge thanks to Brass Camel -- and make sure to give them a follow wherever you listen to music!
Grunge band covers Nelly?
The singer is a needa chill out lol but hype
Dudes even look like the proggiest prog rock band that ever progged. Great cover, lads.
They're a five-headed prog funk hydra, don't you know.
Hairdressers make no money off prog rock bands.
C' mon... where are the capes...
proggers
They all look like the spiritual rebirth of Ian Andersen.
Watching them work out the harmonies 👀
The one cut to the drummer, A+ editting
Very queen
The drummer is the literal embodiment and poster child for prog rock.
He even had a gong.
Young Phillip Collins right here
I mean this as the highest compliment but I think they just created the Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem version of this...
Dude! They even look like them!
Holy shit spot on
Shit- that’s a perfect description!
Spot on ahahahah
That is PERFECT
The keyboardist playing that arpeggio on the Moog, while playing another keyboard AND harmonising is straight up a demon hot damn
god i love how it shows off how good the songwriting of modern pop still is
this genuinely felt like a 70s version from a queen-tier band it was amazing
Yeah I’m so glad most of the big pop artists are writing their own songs again
@@rhettmitchellWell, they write their lyrics. They have professional songwriters for the production and instruments (and usually the melody). This song was done by Jack Antonoff, you can see some videos where he broke down how he did it.
@@Fematika Antonoff really does have a thing for working with blonde pop singers doesn't he? Nothing against it, just find it funny

Equal parts Queen and Zappa
This was great. I think you've found something really cool with this formula. A grunge band covering something like sinatra would be fun.
We already got a jazz version of Nirvana, only fair they do the reverse!
That's neat. I like that.
YES
Agreed!!!
I mean, I know the lead singer went for a walk because he was creaving some fresh air, but the ceiling fan is so nice........
So nice
When are band members so polite to each other? It's so refreshing 😂
It’s a prog band…. They are all well educated. People are mean in bands because half the band members are musically illiterate
canadian
Oh no! Are you in a band with jerks? That sounds awful!
I guess you could say it’s “so nice!”
@@shredgod6394 Prog bands never argue? Two words: King Crimson
0:44 - never heard of Brass Camel, but this guy's power pose with the espresso was when I KNEW I was about to have my brain melted!
AHAAHHA dude i spit my coffee at the screen reading this
It'd make one hell of a painting
9:53 That its-a-me-mario style "So nice!" was def ad-libbed because it almost broke the singer and rhythm guitarist, lol
You speak Brass Camel well, Stevie
Lmfao 😂😂😂😂
That Rickenbacker bass tone is to die for

I wished musora would release these songs (on the spot series) to spotify so i could listen to them on my playlist "please please please Musora"
Yes omg I actually love this version so much and would love to mix this into my regular listening on Spotify!
Never even heard of Brass Camel before this video. Am now going to go watch more of their stuff.
Fucking nailed it. Nailed. It.
NAILED NAILED NAILED IT!
As a music nerd, I LOVE this video format - please please please (pun intended) get more bands to do awesome creative covers. So cool
It's crazy to imagine the many possibilities that exist in the world of music. Amazing cover by Brass Camel! 💯💯
Taking a sec to appreciate the singer guy going for a walk when he's frustrated 👏👏

The Intro was Epic.. It´s so cool how they transform it and totally own it
"I want it to be bombastic" then does an impression of the surfer guy describing waves on the aussie news

6:43 the bass player saying "...what???" Is the most bass player thing I've ever heard

what a great interpretation by a future legendary Canadian Band. We are long overdue for some greatness in the prog rock world. ❤🔥🍁
Didn't you guys have Rush?
@@tornoutlaw hence why I said we are long overdue for a solid prog rock band 😂😂😂🤦🏾♂️

Does prog metal count? It’s been a pretty solid 20 years
It's giving mid-70s prog pop for real;;; The 2nd verse harmonies really remind me of VERY early Yes (their first three albums)
Please do more of these !!!, i love it when bands/artists suffer which in turn we get wonderful improvisations !!!
Wow, just wow! Absolutely nailed it Brass Camel! A masterclass interpretation. 🔥 🔥 🔥
So good - a real contemporary prog rock band and not prog metal. Didn't know they still existed
This video and the one with the Jazz band is just crazy good content. A pleasure to see musicians working like that ! And the ending result is crazy !
Brass Camel rocks! Nice Canadian dudes who really know their stuff! So impressive.
Bring more videos like these
More videos like this in the works!
"So nice!!!" This cover was so spicy, congratulations you guys! 🐪💥🤘

Love the overwhelming Queen influence in this version.
SaQueena Carpenter!
The guitar and vocals. The vocals reminded me of Roger Taylor.
Queen was influenced by prog rock

I love seeing James McAvoy on the drums there. He's really a talented actor.
"Please Please Please" if Led Zepplin sang it. This is absolutely brilliant from the Brass Camel lads.
