Here's what's actually hilarious about Spike's relationship with Twilight: Twilight never considered Spike her "friend", throughout the entire series he was her "#1 Assistant" but you won't find ONE instance of her referring to Spike as her "First Friend" and she's known him since before she met the Mane 5 (and assumably) Twinkleshine, Lemon Hearts, Minuette, and MoonDancer. Now it's shown that Twilight and her ENTIRE FAMILY didn't even officially consider him a "sibling" until this scene right here. This was interesting to watch! Thanks for sharing this with us! ^_^ You brought up a good point with the anti-magic throne shards. My guess is that Star Swirl might have disguised his magic to resemble changeling magic similar to how Twilight replicated Sombra's magic to get past his obstacles. The shards also seem to have less power individually since the princesses got their magic back after the throne was broken.
actually the throne was destroyed and deactivated, Chrysalis probably used a spell so it'll absorb every magic but changlings ig star swirl just reactivated it's magic
For those who are saying the writers could've used Starlight for this, one, who'd be in charge of the school?, two, fun fact, this is actually a tribute to the voice actors of the Mane 6 and Spike and they asked them for inputs then turned those inputs into an episode... And they actually pulled it off cohesively, for the most part.
Even though I love the idea of the voice actors making the story, it causes the episode itself to have a lot of pointless confusion (like the applecore story for example).

Pointing out Sin 50, getting help from Luna would count against Spike winning the crown, however since neither Twilight nor Spike were able to leave the castle with the crown. So, Shining Armor actually won the crown.

You brought up a good point with the anti-magic throne shards. My guess is that Star Swirl might have disguised his magic to resemble changeling magic similar to how Twilight replicated Sombra's magic to get past his obstacles. The shards also seem to have less power individually since the princesses got their magic back after the throne was broken.
actually the throne was destroyed and deactivated, Chrysalis probably used a spell so it'll absorb every magic but changlings

For those who are saying the writers could've used Starlight for this, one, who'd be in charge of the school?, two, fun fact, this is actually a tribute to the voice actors of the Mane 6 and Spike and they asked them for inputs then turned those inputs into an episode... And they actually pulled it off cohesively, for the most part.
Who else is here for the creative nitpicking
Even though I love the idea of the voice actors making the story, it causes the episode itself to have a lot of pointless confusion (like the applecore story for example).
