Just out of curiosity how well did that edge hold up?? I just got my first norseman and the knife is absolutely insane but definitely not amazingly Sharpened from factory. A sharpening is a must. How did u maintain the edge and how often ?
Phenomenal job bro. I freehand everything and it just ISN’T an option for me on this knife. I have #3912 in hand right now and I just broke out my edge pro apex. I appreciate it very much. Great video 🤘🏼🤘🏼
Been watching this dude for years and he’s by far the best sharpener in the country. Hope he starts sharpening again because it’s such a waste of sacred talent not to. Come back already Nathan.
Personally 30fps is fine with me. I think the camera being in focus is a more important factor. It's not like I can watch anything close to 1080p with my crappy DSL anyway lol
Beautiful work on my Norseman, Nathan! Love it!

Best sharpening video by far for unique knife bevels. Thanks Nathan

I like the smoothness! Great video again!

It's crazy all the work this dude does when the factory just sharpens it with a Trizac A65 belt and then leather strop belt with compound and done.
Beautiful work.

what is the angles do you use to sharpen the grimsmo norseman?thanx
Rip convex
how much to sharpen my norsman? I have a KME but I'm nervous to try it lol
Probably a dumb question but can you use a Spyderco sharpmaker on this knife?
Yes
are those the shapton pro stones? or the shapton glass?
Both. Some are Glass, some are Pro.
you find one works better than the other? only asking because im looking at buying a set for my EP.
+grintar No, not really. The Pros generate more slurry than the glass though. Results seem about the same.
How do you take thumbstuds off for sharpening ?
A torx driver, depending on the knife. The Norseman just screws in with a T8 or T6
