I just bought mine from Lowes today. They had no idea of what I was talking about. Each store received 3 units. Only one store had them on display. They also didn’t know, just like I didn’t know that the track was a sold separately item @$100 and the saw @ $299. I would love it if Kreg made an 8’ track to be able to truly be able to cut down sheet goods. I can’t wait to put mine to work.
We're excited to hear you got a new Adaptive Cutting System! Awesome! Sorry it was a bit confusing in the store, we'll definitely pass that feedback on to our sales team. You can combine two of the tracks for longer cuts if you'd like. To rip 96" with the ACS Saw, you will need two Tracks(ACS430) and the Connectors(ACS445). These are available at kregtool.com.
In this video, you show trimming the anti-chip strip 7 or 8" up the track. When using the track to line up marks on a large sheet of plywood for a 55" or 60" cut, how do you accurately line up the anti-chip strip with your marks? Also, are there track clamps? Thanks in advance.
My question is sorta the same as others. With the single 62 inch track u can't cut to the end of the track!! Because the saw comes off the track before the chip strip is fully cut .So how would you line this up without the full length chip strip being cut?
So once you get the blade squared and the splinter guard and anti slip strip cut from then on you drop the splinter guard all the way to the board your cutting right? I just got my track saw in yesterday and will be using in this weekend!!
I was excited because Kreg makes awesome affordable tools. $900 puts it out of reach for most amateur woodworkers. Nice looking system though but it has been priced out of my budget for sure.
djanes if you’re just looking for the track saw and track then it’s more affordable than Festool, DeWalt & Makita. It’s priced the same as the Triton one. But if you’re looking at the whole system then yeah it’s out of reach unless you just build up to it by buying it slowly. I live in Hawaii so it’s more so out of reach due to shipping cost. But I plan to get the track saw if it ever gets on amazon (prime)
You mentioned about replacing your blade on your saw with a finer tooth blade. I bought the Kreg plunge saw; does that need a better blade as well or is it good enough for fine plywood cuts?
Man am I glad I have not went the expensive company route. Now to get the much taller bench dogs. Please come out with the hole clamp bars! I asked in a comet will the saw work with the other Kreg guide rails
That is correct. The Kreg 62" Guide Track is designed to work with the Kreg Plunge Saw, and has not been designed to work with tracks from other manufacturers. While it may be possible, Kreg makes no such claims, and does not recommend using the 62" Guide Track with saws from other manufacturers.
I have many Kreg tools and like them. I do wonder about why Kreg chose to place the blade on the left side since most people have experience with a right sided blade. I actually think a left sided blade is better on a track saw once you "Re-learn" using one. It makes ergonomic since for a right handed operator and my guess is that this is why Kreg decided to do it. I already own a Festool TS75 so I will not be in the market but I think they will sell many units.
Kreg® designed the Plunge saw with the blade on the left side to create an optimal user interface for right-handed saw users. This positions the blade where it is easy to view while cutting. The left-hand blade position is also optimal for making cuts with the 62" Guide Track on the Project Table. This positions the blade near the user-side of the table.
I am super excited to see Kreg has come out with this saw... of course I just bought a Festool Track Saw several weeks ago... and it was in excess of $1000 because I also bought the 110" track as well as the 55". I will buy a Kreg TS as soon as they are available to keep in the tool trailer for on the jobsite. No way am I taking the Festool on the road... it will never make it back.
Hey Kreg, I just bought the Kreg Precision Router Table, Precision Router Lift, and built (2) Kreg assembly tables. A half dozen Bench Clamps, 2 inline clamps, Clamp Vise, 2 Corner Clamps a couple Project Clamps... I have 2 K2 Pocket Hole cutters and now you bring out the thing I finally caved in and bought from... well the over priced company.... As you can tell I am a serious Kreg Fan... I am going to get your track saw too.... for out on the jobsite. Planning a table saw anytime soon.... before I go buy one of them too???
Anybody else having issues with the saw burning every cut? I’ve adjusted toe angles, bevel angles, and speed! No matter what I do it burns the track side of my cut. So frustrating

@@KregToolCompany Thank you for the reply. I've been in the market for just such a "system" but had to swallow hard each time I looked at the cost of similar outfits. You mentioned about replacing your blade on your saw with a finer tooth blade. I bought the Kreg plunge saw; does that need a better blade as well or is it good enough for fine plywood cuts?
The Adaptive Cutting System Plunge Saw comes with a high-performance 48-tooth, carbide tipped blade that is great for plywood cuts.
Is it ok to use 3/4 melamine for set up?
Why is the ACS 3000 unavailable? I cannot find it anywhere...

@@KregToolCompany as A right handed person I like this configuration best!😁🛫
Do you have to use plywood for that first cut?
Any 3/4 inch material would work, we'd just recommend it's wide enough to fully support the track as you cut.
Are there clamps for the track?
Tracks are not needed, the anti-slip strips on the underside of the track hold the track in place without clamps.

The Adaptive Cutting System Plunge Saw is designed to ride directly on the Adaptive Cutting System 62" Guide Track, and is not compatible with the Accu-Cut Universal Sled.
Can i use the existing Kreg track or do i need to bu a new one?
Does not work with the existing track. You must buy a new one but you probably already know that by now seeing that your post is over a year old.
How do you lock the track in place?
When using the track alone, the anti-slip strips will hold it in place. When using the track on the project table, it connects to the table with hinges.
I see MANY good uses for the Adaptive Cutting System Project Table - Base... I will order one the second I am notified its available....
