- A good friend gave me an old plane and i saved it from the trash. After some minor fixes we took it it out for a flight. Tha bad weather here won't give us a break so we just fly in the rain. I can't explane how much i hate flying without ailerons. But still fun.

You should see mine, almost in perfect condition with floats as well. However light fiber-glass Hacker floats from Chech Republic. Over 40 hours over land and water. I had to to replace the used Veco-21 for an new Thunder-Tiger TT-25.
Mine is perfectly built, true to the original colour pattern, an the wing-profile is extremely true and extremely smooth, true and slick. Flyes as a bird.
Kit from 1975, started by another man. Not well started though, I had to burn the wing after the cockatiels had their biting into it. I let them, for it was not well built. New wing from the drawing. No one can say it flyes skewed, for it flyes straight like an arrow and lands on water and on land.
130 km/h in a shallow dive, haha, but 70 km /h is normal speed at 50% throttle.
It sits on the ground or water at ~ 25..30 km / h. with full 30° Elevator stalling almost.
It can do loopings, tunnel-rolls and wing-over. even some inverted flight if the height is safe, like 100 meters with 30° negative elevator input and careful rudder control.
Mine weighs 1,75 kg without floats. It can fly for a good 30 minutes or more on a 250 ccm tank of Methanol / Nitromethane / Oil 77-18 -5
First flight 2003.
This was my very first RC airplane, back in 1976. I flew it for many years and had a great, great time with it. My next model was another Graupner classic, the Mosquito glider. Loved them both.
Same here. I used to fly it in a open field near the private school I was in. One day a guy come, says he is military pilot and asked me if he could fly it a little while. I start it, bring it to medium altitude and then give him the TX. All I remember is soon after he lost control of the Taxi, and crashed it totally. He immediately bought me another kit, that I eventually build in my little shared bedroom. FUn times, I flew the Taxi wherever I could bring it with me.
@@12345fowler Ouch, it must have hurt to see the plane go like that. At least the guy replaced the kit, so you even got to do another build, which is good. :-)
I also witnessed something like you described (not my plane though). A gentleman approached an RC pilot, said he was a 747 captain and asked to fly. His control over te model ended as soon as it turned toward him. Down it went.
My name is Sergio, I living in BRAZIL. I have a Graupner taxi as yours. I build in 1986 and flies to this day very well. The engine is a MAX 35, but this week was replaced by a 40 MAX .
+SERGIO PAULO ROSA DE AZEVEDO JUNIOR i will work great with a bit larger engine.. i will try to add ailerons on mine.
Show my friend. I Love Graupnner. 🇧🇷
Very cool Gents. Hope you get some summer soon!
Eric William -MKme Tech even today it is raining and 7 degrees outside....
Enjoyed your video. The TAXI was my first plane. Hated it! Mine had an OS MAX 19 engine and Hinode radio from Japan. I built it light. Terrible to land. It would never sink. But, very very STABLE plane. One day, a tree jumped up and smashed the wing of my plane and took the whole LHS panel off. Took the opportunity to rebuild the wing with much lower dihedral and ailerons. Flew much better.
You mean ENYA 19. OS is 20 MAX. ENYA 3,25ccm and OS 3,50ccm.
That was cool. Old plane is awesome. Careful w/the rockets, lol
Skyepuncher i just hate 3 channel... i need some ailerons
I could see your eyes sweating from the intense heat of the Arctic summer in this video :-)
***** That was cruel... hehe
Why you did not break-in the engine?
+TheLaidukas the engine is all good. problem is allways finetuning it cause of the temprature outside changes from 25 to 4 degrees. :)
3 times crashed and still O,K, this is amazing.
Hold the plane vertical with full throttle, it will tell you if your too lean.
Ja das Taxi mußte man als Beginner einfach haben! Von Robbe gab es den Charter
7:30: Now I know how chemtrails are made :-D
Those are harsh flying conditions, it looks like you're flying in the mountains. You need ailerons, or if not get that 3 ch plane and motor trimmed out now! I wouldn't be laughing in achievement just yet
Nice to still see a classic airplane flying. But TOO much rudder, not enough vertical stabilizer. The rudder is for a long wing glider. I suggest maybe changing the rudder for better flight control. Here is a picture of the plans - aerofred.com/data/thumbnails/67/Graupner%20Taxi.jpg
Having no ailerons is definitely a minus because of unexpected winds.
xxwzaebd I hate it hehe
***** SIdewind is the problem. I remember when I added big ailerons on rudder planes with green tape. The Hitec Easystar is the only example that flies well with only rudder. But now there is bixler.
Wow, nice classic aircraft but some terrible flying
Hey, where did this flight take place ?
the worlds most nothern rc Flight field. Mehamn in Norway
Ok sorry, i see all your comments below regarding you want to add 4 ch and ailerons. good idea
what is that light up on the hill
+peter devit It is markers for the local airport. guide lights for the airplanes.
Bolo , bolo jajajajajaja.
Si, todo "desafinado", pero voló..!!
Mal Balance C.G. Mucha Potencia Motor con un par Mayor Mal Orientado Grados s la Derecha y hacia abajo!!
The plane is tail heavy.
Tony Emory Not at all.. wrong horisontal fin is mounted since the original was broken. hehehe but funny
+ArcticRc Ja, das gute alte TAXI. Sehr robust ! Habe auch eins, fliegt mit BlueBird 25....
AJJJAJAJA .
