Silverfish chippy now closed. You missed the Kings very traditional hardware shop but Wem currently has too many hairdressing/beauty shops and badly needs a competing supermarket to the Co-op. Shropshire Council is busy doing vanity redevelopment schemes in Shrewsbury and letting its small market towns wither.
exactly our point every time a new place on the high street becomes vacant you can guarantee it will either be hairdressers or beauty type places that are allowed to take it on. and yes the co-op is expensive, if anybdoy also notices about the co-op is they sell mainly high end designer branded named stuff, they don't sell to much of their own range. your absolutely bang on with the your statement.

I had to stop the video and comment, I was chuckling SO much. I loved the date Fourteen 'O' Ten, not Fourteen Ten and 1995 was 5 years after Photoshop started. I'm also sure it was less than 20 years ago since the Mill was converted into flats...more like 12, as I nearly bought one, when I lived in Shrewsbury. Third rate research is ambitious, but keep it coming...just for laughs if nothing else. Roll the VT.

Victorian ended when Queen Vic died in 1901 and modernist started around 1910. Great stuff. It was ironic you said the level crossing holds up traffic, as I was sat there for what seemed like ages last Sunday on a drive from Derbyshire into Wales.
