As a longtime Star Trek enthusiast who has witnessed the evolution of the franchise since its inception, I firmly believe that the humanoid Borg design was a stroke of genius by the writers and producers. Having grown up with the original series, it was captivating to see the Borg introduced in "Q Who" as an immediate threat to the Enterprise-D, and their relentless pursuit of assimilation was downright chilling.
