Thank you for making this video. I am trying to decide about doing gig work part time. I'm trying to buy a cheap van under $5k to avoid wear and tare on my personal vehicle. Man -- the scammers and fake ads are crazy. I've contacted 10 sellers and im not kidding 9/10 were scammers or fake ad. ugh!!
Yeah home delivery isn’t integrated for all Walmarts but some have them with their own delivery vans and they bring it into your home and I think they are even supposed to put it away for you. Not sure fully as I don’t have it here
Regarding working in the dark, this time of year most of my deliveries are in the dark as I work 2;00 PM to 10:00 PM weekdays One of the greatest challenges is finding homes, buildings, mobile homes, rural homes and apartments in the dark, as many don't have numbers, numbers are hidden, missing, hard to find, painted over etc This requires walking around with a flashlight, and investigation of neighboring homes, which can put you in some potentially dangerous situations This is also why so many deliver to the wrong home, building, apartment, mobile home or rural home with no mailbox. nor number I'm often tailgated at night by impatient, and angry drivers riding my bumper while I'm trying to find these hard to find delivery addresses We don't have cellular service in much of our rural delivery region, so that creates more challenges, and safety risks
That is true. If it’s dark and I don’t remember the house I just google maps it so I can at least have the shape or the feint color idea of what I am looking for as to try not to have to turn on a flashlight as you said it could be very dangerous!
I guess my son instantly went along with the time change because I promise, ever since the time went back, he’s NOT trying to be out there in the dark delivering orders! He loves getting orders with me but it gets dark too early now and that’s bad for me because my area is busier in the evening time, around the 3/4 mark, so I’ve definitely been getting less orders! Plus, it’s been slow! 😢
@@MommywithaPurpose Walmart has approved the most new Spark drivers that we've seen in years, they haven't slowed down, and they continue to message us about the $100 new Spark driver referral bonus incentive, so it's fortunate that I work after dark as days have been really slow due to gross over-saturation Winter weather is coming in my region of The North, so days may get a little better once the very cold weather, and snow arrive
Speaking of animals. yesterday I was badly scratched by loose dogs, they scratched my car, and I just missed hitting a deer by about 2 feet Good thing I just spent $800 on new tires, or I wouldn't have been able to stop in time The customer order in the back of my SUV had a gallon chocolate milk that was a casualty of my quick stop Here in the North Country deer vehicle accidents are one of the greatest risks of driving after dark, and winter driving is very high risk I was bitten by a loose dog recently as well. which would have been much worse if it weren't for my fast reflexes Much of our housing stock here was built in the 1800s, so we have a lot of dangerous delivery locutions as well It's very common to slip, and fall on ice, and snow covered driveways, sidewalks, steps, and porches that haven't been plowed, shoveled, salted, and sanded
I'm glad u brought up physical health and safety.
Definitely important
