To me the first ending where you become a human and wake up during morning is a very bad ending. Not because Gehrman has to stay there in the dream and suffer. It's because you yourself are a helpless human and once the hunt starts up again, you're pretty much screwed and will most likely die or turn into monster.
I think one of the many beauties of this game is that all three endings can be the good ending, depending on your interpretation of the hunt and the dream. Is it really a dream? All in your head? Then the first ending, or yarnham sunrise ending is probably the best. It means you awoke from your nightmare, and are ready to resume normal life. Do you think that the hunt is actually to eradicate beasts when they show up, and is something that must be done occasionally? Then the second ending where you take gerhmans place is probably the best, as it means that you get to oversee the hunt, and lead humanity against the curse of the beasts. Think the great ones are manipulating humanity and causing the curse? Hentai worm ending is the best then. Because you get the chance to overpower the great ones and destroy the curse. Or, control humanity aswell, like the other great ones.
ThisCommonSink :T There was a legend of one being, so powerful and mighty that even major gods at their peek trembled upon his presence, capable of understanding this power, using his omega-level brain he was able to use 1% of that power to create the first hentai, he perished right after that
1st ending : Big bad thing still exists outside of you, you're just a nobody. 2nd ending : You become the host of the Big bad thing and wait until another hunter might eventually come and replace you as a host. 3rd ending : You become the Big bad thing, but at least you preserve enough Humanity in order to correct the wrongs. So basically, the first ending projects you out of the narrative, the second makes you become a passive agent of it while the third ending makes you become an active agent of the narrative.
It’d be pretty funny if the whole game was just a bad trip. The Pungent Blood Cocktail says it’s more intoxicating than alcohol so what if the Hunter was simply a foreigner who got tricked by a Yharnamite to drink it. Then they went to Iosefka’s clinic for a transfusion because they just felt that bad. Then the clinic let the Hunter go, thinking they’d be fine but the since the cocktail is still in their system they end up tripping balls all night and eventually passed out in the street.
I don't get why people said the second ending is bad. I mean, yes, the Hunter will consume the Umblical Cord, but unlike others, the Hunter do know how to be human when he/she is a Great One, plus the Living Doll will take care of he/she with love and caring, thus giving the humans the chance to actually win against the Great One and ending the dream once and for all.
Well when you look at Rom the spider, he was actually a human at one point. He consumed the umbilical cords like us and sought to evolve into something greater than a human, and to seek more knowledge. Thus he became a great one, but that cost him one thing, his brain. He became mindless. In the description for one of the Umbilical cords, it says that "it granted Mensis audience with Mergo, but resulted in the stillbirth of their brains." So they too at Mensis consumed Cords, but also became mindless. So our hunter became a mindless infant great one. So the point is, humans shouldn't try to transcend beyond what they are, because they will fail.
Kyler Coleman I'd say it's open to interpretation. This is is the kind of game where no ending is going to be an exactly happy one, no matter the outcome. The first ending isn't happy, either. You're severed from the dream, or are you? Is the Hunter's dream reality, and the waking world the dream? What's your true worth in either? You can either walk away, as if nothing ever happened, and you may still be suffering from whatever illness brought you to Yharnam in the first place. Or you can take the place of Gehrman as the Moon Presence's puppet. And then finally, you can as the trophy description puts it; Take humanity into its next childhood. Even if you start off mindless, or humanity does, there's nothing to say that new era wouldn't evolve into something that can think and feel.
I one shot Gherman BARELY. and two attempts on moon because I was out of pots. I did jump in excitement on that first kill. Great game, can't wait to run through again

@@TreyChannel The hunt was all a nightmare, everything in the entire game from the moment you saw the wolf rise up from the ground till the moment you woke up at the well was a nightmare.
@@TreyChannel no, not really because as stated - everything was just a "dream," a horrible dream... a nightmare. So when the character wakes up he can resume his life as a normal human; knowing that he just had a bad dream. Just like you and I. When we have a bad dream and wake up from it, we are just glad that it was just a dream and we carry on we our day.
Gargola18 you got that so wrong. There *will* be another night of the hunt gehrman just freed the hunter from the hunters dream os the hunter isn’t immortal
No matter what kind of person Gehrman is said by the others, a Creep, or anything negative... He's definitely a Hero for trying to free us from this Dream in my eyes
That's exactly why a sequel won't be made. They're not going to make a sequel if it makes any of the endings the "true" ending. I'd like a Bloodborne 2, don't get me wrong. I just don't think it will ever happen.
@@Zyk0th If they have balls they will use 3rd ending to make the sequel, the same with Sekiro and the hardest ending. Hell, the Sekiro's sequel is extremely obvious.
If you're talking abou gehrman, then the one who sitting is character model for irreverent izzy. And the one who stand up is character model for gehrman. That's a mistake on the game.
And apparently if u attack Gehrman before talking to him, he just decides to fight you by default. Nw I got the true ending bt I really didn't have a choice
The worst endings are the other two. First one frees you into the normal world, but it only benefits you. Everyone else has to deal with the plague of beasts and the nightmare.(also the hunters dream) the second one is undoubtedly the worst though because you get stuck in the dream and allow events to play out again, specifically the hunt.
Wow....she's like...a sister to me...i never had big sister but that how feels when the sister taking care her brother while the brother having good rest....wow
No that was all a nightmare, caused by the blood transfusion at the beginning of the game. Everything should be pretty normal except the main character will be cured of whatever illness brought them there to get the blood transfusion in the first place. I think they also lose their memories so I guess that is the biggest downside to the whole thing.
@@Wiseman108 sure, but it's not 'just a dream's the blood moon will rise again and the another hunt starts, and who knows? Maybe the next hunt goes beyond Yarnhim
So only Gehrman can end the dream? he is the only one who can truly kill us? the times people die in the world (or kill themselves in the dream by jumping of the edge) doesn't count. In the end then... the whole game was one of those "He woke up, and it was all a dream..."
SpazzGibbon any time you die you awaken, as though from a bad dream. This is described in item descriptions. Only way to be freed of this is to die in the hunter’s dream.
So you murder your way across a cursed city, defeating thousands of evil entities in the process, only to end up living the rest of your days as a slug. Lol.
Brendan Gallagher Oh my bad. That's an interesting interpretation. I just thought of it as breaking your legs or giving you the necessary mind-fuck to turn you into its puppet like Gherman.
Urist McTubedwarf In the bad ending, you battle and kill Gehrman and then the Moon Presence monster absorbs all the blood that the hunter collected and then puts you in Gehrman's position as its servant to guide other hunters to bring it blood and continue the nightmare. If you absorb the umbilical cords, you kill Gehrman and then the monster tries to do what it does in the bad ending, but it is stopped, and you battle and kill it instead and become a god-like Great One similar to the Moon Presence and take control of the nightmare.
Nah he just wanted the shagging doll for himself and made it seem like he did you a favor out of kindness by killing you. In reality it was hunter's dream all along
These endings are like would you rather questions for example. Would you rather die in the dream world and wake up or would you rather be crippled for life
+Zhengkang Vijaya So we pull another dark souls Only here we become a Great One and not the Ruler of Death(i mean i think it was ruler of death, something along those lines)
Let me explain Ending #1 - u let gehrman Free U from the nightmare and u awake it the waking world And having a good life and gehrman Stays in Hunter nightmare for ever ( its bad he is a honorable hunter :( ) Ending #2 U Choosed refuse to sumbit your life And then gehrman doesnt have a choice so he will fight u to death Then u kill him and free him And become The host of hunter Nightmare ( Natural Cuz gehrman is a honorable nice hunter ) Ending #3 u choose to fight gehrman So u can free him then u fight Moon presence And help Both of them to awake it the waking world Then u stay in the Hunter nightmare And saves 2 of them ( Good ending and im sorry if is there anything wrong )
All of these endings still make me question the whole point of this adventure. The point of the Hunter`s Dream is to apparently produce a hunter that is powerful enough to kill another Great One. Geherman is controlled by the Moon Presence and so they both guided the the player to become this powerful hunter and to kill this other Great One. So why kill off the player? Wouldnt it be in the Moon Presence`s interest to keep the player character around so that he could do this again? On that note, why didn`t it just send Geherman out to do all the killing? He is apparently still very powerful. Is Geherman trying to protect you from the Moon Presence by offering to kill you? If so, why does the Moon Presence even allow it? Is it because it only needs one surrogate? Even if that is the case, going through all of this crap just to produce a super hunter is pretty damn inefficient..... I duno...
i think in the first ending with head chopin time he desont think yur strong enough to become super hunt man so he sends you to forget all of that and live a hopefully happy life(if the hunt deosnt happen again)
I interpreted it a little differently see i thought that the moon presence only wanted you to kill the infant great one and then move on and when another is born a new hunter will do what you did all over again. You arent just refusing gherman but also the moon presence when you fight in the dream workshop. So after you win it needs a new host to continue the hunt but if you had the 3 cords then you can over power it and either take its place completely and also its role as the guiding force behind the hunt or become a new independent great one tucked away in the dream you inhabit to grow and ascend. Just my thoughts tho
I think the best ending is when you become a tentacle god cuz I'd rather be a god than either be ignorant and wake up forgetting everything or taking the place of the guy you just killed and getting trapped in the dream forever either way the hunt will never end even if u wake up it will happen again but u won't be prepared for it that alfred npc said he started out as a hunter but he doesnt have dreams anymore thus the execution ending and still the hunt carried on and pretty much all the tombstones are fallen hunters who chose the same fate i might be wrong about all this but this is what i think. so TENTACLE GOD ALL THE WAY!!
What’s so amazing yet tragic about Bloodborne is that every ending is kind of a bad one, it all depends on where you stand. 1st ending: you’ve completed your contract, you’re free from the hunt and can finally leave Yharnam forever, but the hunt will still go one the next night 2nd ending: You free Gherman and end his suffering, but now you are the one who suffers and the hunt begins anew 3rd ending: You ascend to god hood, you become something more, but still the hunt persists as long as there are those who had believed blood healing, not insight, was the key to ascending to a great one IMO first ending is the best as you’re free and can return home and on top of that you retain your humanity
If this was a real thing that happened to me irl I’d choose number one I’d just want to get out of this nightmare idc what happens when I wake up at least I’ll be able to rest when I die this time
or maybe you'll be alive for the next hunt and a hunter knocks on your door and says go to Iosefka's clinic bro, she's gonna help you, and you turn into a blue alien after experimentation and live in despair until that same hunter butchers you and laughs at your wobbly big head.
So... you can either accept Gehrman's offer and enjoy a peaceful life after all your hard work, refuse and be stuck fighting monsters for eternity, or refuse and turn into a monster-baby? Maybe I'm missing something, but this first ending it really seemingly like the best one to me.
First ending still a world where the hunt, dream, great one still exists. It's really not that good. Who knows when you're going to die in the next hunt of the night. Better end it all with ending 3. No more shit. xd
first ending:you save yourself and let gehgrman stay in the hunters dream to be tortured forever=bad ending second ending:you free gehrgman from the hunter's dream and become the host of the dream yourself so the hunt continues=neutral ending third ending:you free gehrgman and end the hunt since there's no more any host to the nightmare=good ending
Actually the hunt doesn't end, seeing as how you killed the moon presence and hence because a great one because of it that also means you take its place as the host of the hunt, it doesn't end and you become it's mindless ruler.
Well, really, since we don't know. Does the "slug" still have it's past memories or not? Since we don't know, all of you can only come up with theories on how the third option goes.
I have one question: I chose the 3rd ending(it' s definitely most suitable because you earn more blood echoes) , so i became a baby moon presence. However, if i chose the 1. one - which let me go to the "real" world as a mortal - , would the hunt go on? what i want to know is: would I be able to defeat bosses and that stuff, like in the other endings?
If you mean gameplaywise, yes, You will restart like in the other endings. And storywise? Well you will be mortal and eventually die or succumb to the scourge like gascoigne, but you can join the hunt again if you want. You will only forget your Time in the hunters dream, and live a happy life (however this is possible in that world).
No, Djura, Eileen and Alfred (provided he didn't lie and was a real Hunter) never left the Dream. They are Hunters, like the players that have signed the contract. Like most players (since most people never finish the game, and even if they do, their character is destined to return to the dream), Djura and Eileen cannot finish the task that was laid out to them (be freed from the dream, host the dream, or take over the Moon Presence), and so they are trapped in the dream for all eternity. You can kill them in your dream, but they still exist in their own dream. Anyway, due to the cyclical nature of the dream to account for the NG+ mechanic and have multiplayer make sense, your character is thrown into the dream again, even if you choose the first ending. I'm going to go out on a limb and sway that when the doll says "may you find your worth in the waking world", 'waking world' actually refers to the empirical world outside of the game. The next time you launch the game, the dream starts again.
For some strange reason, you're allowed to try again for both fights even if you die to Gehrman.. A fog door spawns in between the boss arena and the safe zone. #GameLogic
A bit late to the party, but it's just Gameplay and Story Segregation. In this particular case, it's implied that if you choose to opose Gehrman/Moon Presence you succeed first try story-wise, even if it takes you a thousand times gameplay-wise. Or you can forgo all that nonsence, and pitch it as if one is not willing to wake up, they actually can't. Meaning that when Gehrman opposes you, it's with the "I'll kill you as many times as is needed or I'll die trying" attitude. And Moon Presence can't turn you into the host either, but at the same time it NEEDS a new one(since you killed Gehrman), so it allows you to try again and again in hopes you change your choice.
Firestardragon of ROBLOX It's making you a puppet like Gehrman was. Maybe do some brainwashing to make you subservient like Gehrman. The only one where you gain the power to become a great one is the third one.
It's testing the blood with the you attached. 2nd and 3rd endings happen with only a slight difference before hand of killing Gehrman. The slight difference makes it back off of the player and ready for a fight.
It's kinda nice to know the doll truly cared about you throughout the entire game

Or, control humanity aswell, like the other great ones.
semi awesomatic also in the third ending you can copyright strike every tentacle hentai in existence

*third ending

They need to make a bloodborne 2. I just finished the game but there is so much potential for a second game based on the 3rd ending.
That's exactly why a sequel won't be made. They're not going to make a sequel if it makes any of the endings the "true" ending.
I'd like a Bloodborne 2, don't get me wrong. I just don't think it will ever happen.
They should bring some kind of chalice system and an incentive to grind them like these blood gems with random stats to elden ring
@@Zyk0th If they have balls they will use 3rd ending to make the sequel, the same with Sekiro and the hardest ending. Hell, the Sekiro's sequel is extremely obvious.
1. Fromsoft doesn't have a great record with sequels.
2. If it isn't a game where the player is an eldritch god what's the point?

I love the second ending
Dont judge me
it's pretty nice, i like how moon presence hugs the good hunter :)
To be honest, they're all bad but I would choose the last ending; it seems to have the most choices.
The last one ain't half bad, you become a magical squid that can save the world
And apparently if u attack Gehrman before talking to him, he just decides to fight you by default.
Gotta feel bad for the guy, he just finished dealing with bloodborne only to wake up to deal with dark souls next
I love the doll so much.
Wow....she's like...a sister to me...i never had big sister but that how feels when the sister taking care her brother while the brother having good rest....wow
When you awaken under the morning sun, what is the world like? Are there still beasts? Are there day-night cycles? Is everyone still batshit crazy?

Brendan Gallagher kinky. with what?
Brendan Gallagher I think its more likely that you yourself are turned into a great one - no one else figured out how to do it except the pc
Brendan Gallagher evidence being the the doll actually calls the baby great one "good hunter" which is what she calls you the whole game
So bassicly every ending is the sad one
Ah yes, you obviously become a squid as one of the possible endings. I mean, why not?
Gehrman also cared for us a lot
He just wanted us to live a "normal" live
Nah he just wanted the shagging doll for himself and made it seem like he did you a favor out of kindness by killing you. In reality it was hunter's dream all along

Ending #2 U Choosed refuse to sumbit your life And then gehrman doesnt have a choice so he will fight u to death Then u kill him and free him And become The host of hunter Nightmare ( Natural Cuz gehrman is a honorable nice hunter )
Ending #3 u choose to fight gehrman So u can free him then u fight Moon presence And help Both of them to awake it the waking world Then u stay in the Hunter nightmare And saves 2 of them ( Good ending and im sorry if is there anything wrong )
pov: ypu searched "Bloodborne good ending"
I duno...
T the end of the game you kill a great one by default, so you have done your job and you are free to go
i think in the first ending with head chopin time he desont think yur strong enough to become super hunt man so he sends you to forget all of that and live a hopefully happy life(if the hunt deosnt happen again)
You know the game is gud when in the end you can turn into Cthulhu lol
@5:43 awww she held it like a pet.
Imagine the third ending is Canon and it's the start of Bloodborne 2 as the hunter is transformed back
Or even the first one would work well
I think the best ending is when you become a tentacle god cuz I'd rather be a god than either be ignorant and wake up forgetting everything or taking the place of the guy you just killed and getting trapped in the dream forever either way the hunt will never end even if u wake up it will happen again but u won't be prepared for it that alfred npc said he started out as a hunter but he doesnt have dreams anymore thus the execution ending and still the hunt carried on and pretty much all the tombstones are fallen hunters who chose the same fate i might be wrong about all this but this is what i think. so TENTACLE GOD ALL THE WAY!!
What’s so amazing yet tragic about Bloodborne is that every ending is kind of a bad one, it all depends on where you stand.
1st ending: you’ve completed your contract, you’re free from the hunt and can finally leave Yharnam forever, but the hunt will still go one the next night
2nd ending: You free Gherman and end his suffering, but now you are the one who suffers and the hunt begins anew
3rd ending: You ascend to god hood, you become something more, but still the hunt persists as long as there are those who had believed blood healing, not insight, was the key to ascending to a great one
IMO first ending is the best as you’re free and can return home and on top of that you retain your humanity
The meaning of Bloodborne is... YOUR A FUCKING SLAVE OF THE DOLL

So... you can either accept Gehrman's offer and enjoy a peaceful life after all your hard work, refuse and be stuck fighting monsters for eternity, or refuse and turn into a monster-baby?
Maybe I'm missing something, but this first ending it really seemingly like the best one to me.

Has anyone got the fourth ending where you wake up on a cart and greeted by a guy dressed in blue?

+Spikereef but someday, the plague will happen again and you're pretty much fucked cause you're a normal human
Well you'll be somewhat like Djura and Eileen.
Pretty much. Just don't play BB again, which is what I'm gonna do once I platinum this shit.

the first option is so sad, you have to leave gehrman in the dream /:

And u miss the chance to make love with the doll
But then gehrman gets to shag the doll without sharing tho. That's why he wants u dead and gone all along

So what happens if you die during the fight of Gerham or the moon presence?
You try again :D
I didnt mean to select the first 1 lost all my progress and was gonna do dlc
I believe letting Gehrman kill you is the best ending. Why become a god? Why not go back to your normal life?
