For part C, why did you do 1/3 multiplied by the probability of the distance being greater than 4.3, didn’t those who achieve a distance of atleast d metres also receive a medal?

i really do not understand what you are trying to say... we found the value of z such that 80% of the whole sample had a jump that was longer than that value
@@MrHassaansMathsChannel what am trying to say is he said in the question 80% of students WHO ACHIEVED .... so shouldn't we divide 80% by the probability of students who achieved.... because using the 80% alone is like the 80% of all students not just students who achieved medals like in previous question where they used to say for example GIVEN THAT SHE QUALIFIES FOR THE FINAL so we divide the probability they are asking for by the probability for qualification for the final because if we didn't do that it's like we are just finding the probability she qualifies
