My ancestor, Elijah Backus, owned the island and sold part to the Blennerhassetts. My Great Great Gma was born there. My Grandfather, Ernest R Sutton, provided the only known map to the Adena mound location. I found a pencil drawn map in his notes and drew it more clearly and provided to the historian, Ray Swick. I always felt connected to the island since visiting as a small child with my family in the late 60's. It was a gift to learn my familial connection as an adult. I feel drawn to the place, even today, though I live several states away. What a magical place!

I just started watching you guys last month and as someone who lives near that area, I LOVED that you decided to investigate this beautiful island. It's definitely underrated as well as the hotel.
C'mon.... seriously,I'm so proud of Amy and Jarred ( Amyscrypt) for designing and making Ghost tube,I never seen more investigators use a piece of equipment as much as the Ghost tube since the K2....amazing!!
They pay people to use it for a while on their ghost channels which gives it major exposure to amateurs or people who want to have a go, that’s the reason they all use it. It’s a piece of code how on earth would a ghost be like hang on I’m just gonna use this iPhone and manipulate the code to speak lmao. It’s a great gimmick but that’s it
@@alexandriacook8454you obviously haven’t seen many other investigators use it then. It gives incredibly specific details to the location a lot of the time.

We used to go here every year on a school trip back in the 80’s. I live about 20-25 minutes away from here. Glad to see it finally getting some recognition. Great job guys. There’s also a couple more Indian burial mounds around there too. You should check them out sometime. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

You do know that the Blennerhassets welcomed all guests to their island. Rich or poor. They wanted everyone to see how big and beautiful the mansion was to show their wealth. Thats why this was an extremely expensive house to build at that time.
Oh you guys should have brought a digital recorder for while you were sleeping,in the tent- like hanging from up where the tent poles meet. What an amazing experience! Perhaps those watchers are puckwadji, I think they're called. The same kind of faerie/land spirit that is said to be around Hinsdale House. Awesome video, I felt like I was there with y'all!

Wow! This location has some amazing history! A lot of incredible REM pod hits this episode too! The part where it synced to Dave's "123" was very impressive. The gust of wind when Dave told the spirit to knock the meter of the ledge too! It seemed like something really answering you and moving where you told it to quite a few times! This episode is up there with the best of 'em! Crazy to think about that house being a replica. Probably the first "haunted replica home" I've seen! So many ideas come to mind based on that. Like perhaps the spirits still think that it's their home or at least are acting as if it still is. I think the minds of the people visiting no doubt play a role. Wild that the proximity meter seemed to go off more for a replica than antique/original buildings. So often do we think of "haunted" as old or original to a time period, but ya gotta remember new houses built over old haunted ones can also have reported activity. Then again, old houses can be physically moved to a new spot and reportedly remain haunted. Brings to mind a lot of ideas and unanswered questions about what truly makes something haunted. Perhaps that whole island is simply a hotspot of activity no matter if your indoors or out. I actually went there as a kid with my class. I'm not sure if they mentioned it being haunted to us though. Great stuff again, PQ! More food for thought!
21:08, Zeke and I were right in that spot when he started to bristle on his back and I had an awful feeling something wanted to throw us down the stairs. As a Service Dog, he wasn't allowed to act or react aggressively, but, he sure did show that he sensed something bad near us. He then led me away from that section. ~ Lisa
We live on 37 acres and used to live in the 70 yr old farm house here and I never had any encounters (my 5 yr old daughter claimed she saw ghost dogs outside our windows ?!?!) We built our new home here on the same land and both my daughter (now 15yrs) and I have experienced paranormal activity. In the past 8 years living in our new home I have seen four shadow people, one was moving close to the ground. I was in our small bathroom, alone, and the door was closed, then a cold gust of air rushed across my face and moved my hair 😲 My daughter had one rush through her bedroom and blew her curtains in the air. Just weird that all events have happened on only one side of the house. Non threatening, almost like a residual thing. I think we just happened to built part of house on a piece of land that has some activity. There were Native Americans living in this area before the old farmers. As long as they aren't harmful I think we can all reside here together 👻
I haven't stepped foot on Blennerhasset Island since I lived in Charleston, way back in 1989, before moving up to WVU (after attending WVTech in Montgomery). Glennie @MGPIS
Hey there ! i have a suggestion for you, every time a spirit sets off the REM pod or MEL, get out your recorder/cell phone to record voice/Ovalis /spirit box SB7 and turn it on and let the spirits talk thru that, instead trying to figure out what's going on...,,,some active spirits are unable to get thru the veil between our world and theirs, so giving them an outlet makes things easier on both parties involved....other than that, nice work !
WOW!! Whatever you were communicating with is highly intelligent. It responded to you a few different times and each time was intelligent. It blew my mind. I absolutely believe that island/land is haunted and still protected by native americans!!
Yeah I just live about another hour and a half on down the Ohio River. Been there numerous times but never heard anything about it being Haunted. Can't wait to watch.
Found y’all out through our trip to Hidden Marietta today!! Super excited I absolutely loved Viva and Karita. Such good people!!! Id love to go to the Blennerhassett island!!
I’ve been to this island and house we I was in elementary school in Jackson Ohio we took the same boat as you guys but we could not tour the whole house because it had caught on fire and we didn’t get to see the Summer Kitchen we did get to go inside the Winter kitchen. We did tour the island and I do sense energies and I do see and hear spirits. I knew this much when I was on that island and in that house I felt sadness and heaviness in my heart, I honestly don’t recall much about the place as I was in the 3rd or 4th grade and I just thought it was neat that I was on an island and it was my first boat ride all I recalled was it was family members that were married. My mom went with me on this field trip and I asked mom who the little girl was? Was she one of the staffs daughters? She wears an dress that little girls way back wore. Mom said well she probably is a child of the staff and she’s dressed up. Now that lady said a little girl died on that land. I’m gunna have to do some research after I finish this cuz wow! I knew I had an off feeling she made me feel so sad for her.
Hi Guys that was a great investigation. It seemed like when you mentioned the Lady of the houses name, the REM Pod went off. Also, Greg, you asked the spirit to push the device off, but I think they tried to push Ryan off the chair, hence the gust of cold at the back of his neck. Looking forward to your next investigation. Stay safe. Love from Melbourne Australia.
I learned about the Blannerhasset's "demise," so to speak, in high school. I've always wanted to go and experience that part of history. What Burr did to the Blannerhassetts was appalling, because they were kindhearted, and what people don't know, or want to know, is that they had treated their slaves with kindness. As for the lynchings, the slaves exacted that punishment on themselves. I can't wait to see and hear anything from the Blannerhassetts.
OMG I want to go here! Such a beautiful mansion and extremely interesting history. Definitely one of my fav episodes! Great job guys!! Ryan- the beaver comment- I’m not touching that one! ;)

Lived in the mid-ohio valley my whole life, been to the island a dozen times(actually had my first paranormal experience on the island as a child), and a huge Hamilton fan and did not know the bit about Aaron Burr!!
The amount of weird activity happening in this awesome investigation from the REM Pod and the mal meter (probably spelt wrong) syncing and going off so quickly to the mal meter (probably spelt wrong again lol) going off as Dave counted down and pointed at it and to GhostTube saying "in front of you" as you were walking towards the hanging tree, this whole investigation made my jaw drop to the ground more than a few times. The two of you should be congratulated on a job well done and having Daves Mum, Polly, with you guys helping out was great to see. Paranormal Quest is by far my favorite RUclips channel and I look forward to watching many more great investigations in the years to come. Take care and stay safe lots of love from your Aussie friend Ann xoxo
OH my god!!! I KNEW it was this place!! I am so excited!!! Yipeeeeeeee!!!!!!!!!!! This place is insane haunted!!!!!! I am so happy to see you all out on the boat enjoying the sunshine and camping too!!!
Guys that was a really great investigation. Would love that if the next time you get chatting with a spirit, you could really quiz them about where they went when they died, the first place they went to. Also to ask about who they met there and what they were told about their new life after death. I know it's a lot to ask but, I feel these are really important questions, I know people would love to hear their responses to these questions. I feel it would be more interesting than the usual e.g., asking a spirit repeatedly to show you a sign that they are really there. I know it's important to establish this at the beginning of an encounter, but surely once is enough. To be able to find out what sort of existence awaits us all on the other side of the veil, would be life changing for most people. I suppose that depends on whether or not they are allowed to reveal this information to the living. Thanks, I'm sure you get the idea of the type of questions I'm referring to. I just have never seen any paranormal investigators ask these questions. I'm confused as to why, I feel, these obvious questions are never asked. Are there some unwritten rules as to what you can or cannot ask spirits ? Would love to hear your thoughts on this. All the best for the future.
Would have liked to see the SLS pointed toward Ryan during the Estes session :-) Wearing headphones I heard apparent mumbles in the mansion that PQ didn’t comment on, as well as a rapid orb show above Ryan near the hotspot. Thank you for a superb investigation at a magical site :-)

I can't wait to see and hear anything from the Blannerhassetts.
Ohhh looks very interesting, excited to watch this episode. Stay safe guys, lots of love for the whole team from India.

Lived in the mid-ohio valley my whole life, been to the island a dozen times(actually had my first paranormal experience on the island as a child), and a huge Hamilton fan and did not know the bit about Aaron Burr!!
Glad the superintendent was there to witness all the activity you were getting! Thanks and liked!

I love the way Viva tells her stories! She’s from a previous episode, correct??
She was!
You pointed your finger after counting and asked the spirit to make it go off!!! Made me jump!!! Lol
It was VERY surprising!!
Looks like some remarkable findings!
Well that was fantastic. What a lot to have happen what a crazy time. Just loved that. Please take care and stay safe
Thank you for watching Ann! It was so weird to see how much strange activity presented itself on this investigation!

@@ParanormalQuest Thoroughly guys!!
Guys that was a really great investigation. Would love that if the next time
you get chatting with a spirit, you could really quiz them about where they
went when they died, the first place they went to. Also to ask about who
they met there and what they were told about their new life after death.
I know it's a lot to ask but, I feel these are really important questions,
I know people would love to hear their responses to these questions. I feel
it would be more interesting than the usual e.g., asking a spirit repeatedly
to show you a sign that they are really there. I know it's important to
establish this at the beginning of an encounter, but surely once is enough.
To be able to find out what sort of existence awaits us all on the other side
of the veil, would be life changing for most people. I suppose that depends
on whether or not they are allowed to reveal this information to the living.
A great video. And Viva has some seriously cool style.
Omg!! This is one of the best ones I've watched 🤠🤠
