Man I love the discord Devs they're so in tune with the community and they know what's funny, most of the jokes they make aren't cringe or that, they're just wholesome. Except for the new logo, it's demon spawn.
It was october 31, I was using my pc when suddenly someone called me. I didn't know that discord changed the ringtone for that day so it really fucking scared me. I literally almost jumped off my chair because I didn't expect that.
yeah so a while ago it was at night and someone told me about the android darker theme thing and i did it and thought "wait does it work with light mode" and proceeded to open the gates of heaven on my phone as all the light in the universe shined on my tired eyes and my flashlight turned on on full fucking throttle and I recoiled in fear as the brightness overlord instantly took over my phone screen. 6/10 would try again, but only during day time.
As Discord is getting less gamer nerdy, and more acceptable for work-from-home and business scenarios, I was sad that the funny loading messages, and welcome messages, went away. But I'm happy Discord hasn't lost their spirit entirely, and some fun easter eggs still remain :) Thank you for the list
Aww. I wish they added those messages back but instead to avoid any embarrassing moments for business men/women, they add some sort of buisness mode, where the gamer stuff getting removed and shit.
Even better, threads are actually an upcoming feature in Discord. Right now it is only available for specific people and servers. Basically, it allows users to create temporary text channels without moderator involvement that are meant for specific topic discussions without clogging up #general. And bot authors need to modify some code so that they work, that is why the rollout will only happen in 1 to 2 months.
