Fantastic demo by Carl - great playing, and he offers a really good about the sonic range and the feel of each amp. I find only two problems. First, it would have been great to hear the P90s through all three amps. Second, and most significantly, this demo makes me want all three of them.
Oh right, this reminds me that I don't need a new amp, I need to learn how to be a killer guitar player like Carl. Every amp sounds amazing when he plays! Well done.
P-90s with the Nighthawk gets my vote.

I'm fortunate to own a Matchless Lightning. I believe they are soldered point to point, so reliability will be very high.
Yep point to point. Very happy with mine. "Deserted island amp."
Nothing wrong with a PCB dipped in a solider bath. It is a total myth that point to point wire sounds better or is as reliable. It's just wire and applying solder by hand. The only difference might be in bigger Electrolytic capacitors that might have to be done by hand anyway. The rest is nonsense. I'll grant you that Badcat are unreliable because they are terribly badly hand soldered on vero board with a birds nest of uncoloured unmarked wires.
@@pastyman001 What about dry solder and that PCB's have a lot more soldering?

PS Spitfire FTW. Its the best pedal platform of the three amps. More of what I was looking for. They are all great amps. My brother played a Lightning for years

Maybe I missed something, but on the Lightning he never changed the Treble or Bass, just Volume and Master. Was there another Lightning off camera? BTW, I have owned a Lightning since the mid 1990s, 1993 l think. This guy is an awesome player, but just wondering, since the eq is so different, and has a significant learning curve.
No mention of the tube layout for each amp? Glaring omission, IMO.

I had excellent dealings with ADM and they are very professional and service oriented especially with Matchless amps. Bought a Laurel Canyon from them and was very pleased with all aspects of my transaction.
