If you’re looking to make money from the comfort of your home, start selling mugs online. You might be thinking-okay, selling mugs sounds like a good business idea, except that I don’t have a stock of cups or a sublimation printer. No worries! That’s what we’re here for. We take care of stocking blank products, printing, packaging, and shipping out the product to your customer. All you have to do is take care of the creative and marketing side of your business.
We offer a wide range of products that you can choose from, including a variety of mugs for every taste.
You have classics like the 11oz and 15oz all-white ceramic mug. Or a fun twist on the classic-an 11oz ceramic mug with color inside. You can also pick the travel-safe enamel mug that’s always ready for Instagram. Or surprise your customers with the glossy black magic mug that reveals your custom designs when in touch with hot liquids.
Depending on the audience and niche of your store, consider which type of mug fits best. Mugs are a practical utensil and a great gift, especially with a custom design. That means you can sell mugs that fit a specific style or mugs that match a particular holiday or celebration.
    How to market your mug
When coming up with a marketing plan, there are several areas to cover:
    - Who are you selling to?
    - When are these people likely to buy your product?
    - What keywords to use when advertising your product?
    Who are you selling to?
When it comes to the mug we just designed, it’s probably best to market it as a gift for, well...dads. The customers who'll buy these mugs will most likely be partners, children, and friends or relatives of the giftee.
It’s crucial to understand who your audience is first. If you market to the wrong crowd, it won’t matter how good your product pictures, descriptions, and prices are, as they just won’t be interested in buying your product. So, if you already have a niche in mind, ask yourself-who’s going to buy this?
The perfect customer for my dad mug could be their partners and children. If I wanted to target their partners and children, I would likely target men and women aged 30-60. To specifically target their partners, I would also include people who’re in a relationship. I would market this mug on platforms my potential client might often use, such as Facebook, Instagram, and RUclips.
What keywords should you use when advertising your product?
Keywords are terms that help search engines understand what type of products your store sells and who your product is for. To ensure potential customers can find your product, it’s important to invest time in keyword research.
Where you add your keywords depends on whether you’re using a platform or a marketplace.
If you’ve built your store on a platform, like Shopify, Wix, or others, the right place for keywords will be the product title and description, your meta titles and descriptions, as well as the SEO settings of your products on your store.

Hi Printful. Your mugs lack everything I look for in a mug. Please consider the following tips:
      1. Grooves on base that allow pooled water to run off in the dishwasher. Minimum of 3 grooves.
      2. Comfortable handle for something other than the 'full-fist-toddler grip'. Most adults use 2-3digits plus thumb to hold a mug and the design should reflect that.
      3. Ever so slightly smaller radius of base compared to top rim gives a vibe of elegance. Not much, it's a balance. It's a bit like the C**a-C*la bottle effect.
      4. Your selection should ideally include mugs that aren't plastic but that you could put in the hands of people who drop them. Stainless steel is a lovely choice. There are mugs out there that are designed to have a thick rim due to there being a double steel layer (which also prevent scalding with hot drinks). If handle, then the welding must be really good! I personally wasn't impressed with what I found in the steel mugs with handle market, so I opted for stackable double layer steel glasses/mugs without handle. Would have loved it if the handle was good.
      5. I am lazy and many others are, too - please make all mugs easy and quick to clean well. This means no sharp edges whether inside or outside on mugs. I just hate it when the mug inside base has a sharp edge and I see the coffee stains of previous uses inside the sharp groove.
      6. All mugs should be certified lead-free.

Some customers don't realize logos printing on products are not cheap, and often complain why do items like mugs cost a few bucks at walmart, or they can buy a tshirt there for 5 bucks, which is a problem whenever designing logos for merch. What most are not aware of,is the process and time involved to create a great logo for clients or stores.Sure, if they get items manufactered and designed in China ,but here in C anada nobody can compete with their prices, and labour cost. But then again if they have a biz they can write off the expense during tax time.

@@mimi_j you’re supposed to charge enough to at least cover ALL of your expenses and more to make a profit….if that’s your goal….and SHOULD be your goal if you’re in business to MAKE money! If you’re making these as a custom design, you SHOULD be charging more than regular market prices to accommodate for your time/design as a designer. If you’re eating the coats of these products, you’re not doing something/crunching numbers right! That’s NOT Printful’s fault if you haven’t don’t this for using their products. That’s supposed to be don’t when you go into business! If you’re charging more than the market price AND still NOT making enough, then you’re not marketing to the right crowd to sell your products to.

You mean “Wives”.. not just partners. And “Christmas” not just winter holidays.

    • @Lacroix999
      @Lacroix999 2 года назад +5

Seriously?? He said “partners” because not everyone who has dad to market to is married to them! It could be a fiancé, boyfriend, same sex partner, or best friends who just so happened to have a one night stand and the end result product was them having a child together by ‘accident’, leaving one of them to be the father of that said child. By saying “wives” you’re LIMITING the ones you’re marketed to and implying that in order to be a father/dad, that the couple must be married which obviously is not the case in everyone’s situation. So, not everyone is married to the father of their children and a female-implying the “wife” label here. So, they could just so happen to only actually be partners raising a child together! “Wives” is inclusive of “partners”, but not the other way around.
Same goes for “Christmas” over the use for the term “holidays”! Not everyone celebrates Christmas and by only marketing to those who do, your turning off those who don’t AND limiting the markets serve and limiting the traffic you could be driving to your store to have people buying your products! There are several different holidays that happen around Christmas time where people are looking to buy gifts for their loved ones for. Again, “Christmas” is inclusive to “holidays”, but not vise versa. The intended holiday purchase is not what’s important here when you’re running a business and should want to cater to EVERYONE out there who is looking for a gift, not JUST those who ONLY celebrate the same holidays as you do.
You sound old fashioned in your word choice preferences, and that is fine if that’s what you choose to use for vocabulary-to each their own, BUT if you are in business to make money, the last thing you want to do is limit yourself to your market audience.
It’s 2022, you’d think this shouldn’t even have to be explained to people now that not everyone lives their life the way you do. Don’t be so exclusive just because you prefer to live your life a certain way because the world needs to wake up to the fact that NOT everyone out there DOES do things the same way as in what you believe!
So, no, he wasn’t wrong in his word choice, but he was trying to be more inclusive-which is exactly what you SHOULD be doing if you’re trying to market these products to a WIDE range of of those on your target market audience as well!
