Jim’s the maannn!!!
I'm glad that the car hauler went to a person instead of the scrap yard.
The Bullnose is very cool. I remember the one that used to stop by our house occasionally. My dad sold Snap-On tools, and the owner would drop by to purchase tools on a Saturday.
That’s a great memory, thanks for sharing that. This truck will be a lot of work but it will be worth it I think!!
I remeber seeing that bullnose kw listed on a facebook group forsale. Glad to see it got saved by you guys and didnt get scrapped. Also hlad i four ur channel you got so.e sweet rides.
It's rare to find those old Bullnose KWs that aren't all rotted away.
The pete cabover is either an 15 speed or an 8 double low theres a deep reduction switch on the dash
What a find!!!!!
Truly is, it will be a labor of love. Lots that needs fixing
@CLGarage I really believe this deserves to be restored as for what it is ... there's not that many car haulers from this period around and restored.... it truly is a one of a kind in today's world. I'm following this proyect. Keep up
Looking at the way this truck was set up I don’t believe it was originally a car hauler. I’d like to do some more research on it looking at the vin to see its history if I can. Also the way that it was built as of today’s standers there is no way I would have put a car on it. So I do plan to restore it but it may not stay the way I got it. But it will be done tastefully.
Thanks for tuning into the channel by the way.
@@CLGarage Eager to see what you find... but you may be right... it was probably later converted to it...
Two nice old trucks.
I have a Freightliner that's very similar to that Pete. Dual cutouts. 8v71. Was cut and turned into a tandem
Can't wait to see you guys work on that bullnose KW
The Cummins looked like a J series
Mack top loaders on a car hauler... def a NW mod. My guys say the hot ticket back in the day fer heavy work, strange they'd slide em under a car rack. Cool find
The kenworth bull nose coe model 523 was built from 1952 _ 1955
Ok, that at least narrows it down a bit, still have to look into the vin to see if Kenworth can tell us something
Yeah, those two trucks need a few minor repairs... and major restorative work.
Where do u find them I’m trying find kenworth cab over
Facebook mostly
is bull kw for sale?
yes, if your seriously interested send me your info to clgarage22@gmail.com
Wait.. a Kenny named "Pete"? Why?? 😮
Well, we bought two trucks from the same owner and I like to name them after the previous owner and the black kenworth we got we named Duane and the silver one had a Peterbilt mud flap so we named that truck Pete. That’s the only reason why. If anyone wants to be super technical, Kenworth and Peterbilt are made by the same big company PACCAR.
Man do you know you can not call a KW a Pete 😅
"promosm" 🤷
Where wd40
Not sure I understand what you just said
