This is so cool! It's following Japan from early 1900's, all the way to 1945. If you put it alongside with the History of Japan video, it's basically animating it haha. If I'm correct, it's goes like this:
-1902's Anglo-Japanese Alliance
-The Russo-Japanese War, with the agreement Britain would enter on Japan's side if someone joined Russia
-Under the same alliance, Japan enters WW1 and assists Britain in Chinese waters
-The Second Sino-Japanese War (which ultimately broke the remaining Anglo alliance)
-Japan joins the Axis and enters WW2
-England & France on the Western front
-China & Russia on the Eastern front (tho Russia mainly fought in the West until the last stretch)
~everyone in play~
-WW2's Pacific War ending with the USA's bombing of Japan
