While this comment is a bit off topic I am posting it to help other newbies. I had a hard time finding the hole size in the servo arm / horn. So I didn't know what size metal I needed to make push rods for my RC Plane project. .032 inch / .81mm music wire worked perfectly. I bought it at the local Ace Hardware Store here in the US. For $2 I got four pieces 36 " long. The OEM is K&S Precision Metals Stock # 501 The price was MUCH higher on Amazon. Save yourself money, shop locally.
Saw one yesterday that tested one key thing. In this case it was for a plane but it would apply to anything really. The test was return to zero. The one I have in my kit (came with multiple devices, just one servo) was the one that failed, consistently. The tower pro mg90s with metal gears looks worthy. I'm betting it will return to zero consistently but, the test that was ran would show that.
Be careful when buying MG90S servos on Banggood - a lot of them aren't TowerPro ones anymore. If you look carefully at the pictures, the brand has been deleted from the label. I have no idea what these are. If you're not particular about the brand, that's fine.
I'm looking for cheap digital micro servos, I can accept a brushed motor (not coreless) but if they have metal gears it would be good. the HS-5055 is $18 it's too expensive for small foamies.
The MG90D is digital, hence the D. With metal gears and bearings. Five bucks, what's to lose? Another option is the TowerPro MG92B - also digital with metal gears & bearings, but a bit more expensive.
The MG90S servos I bought from Ebay are nowhere near as accurate as yours. Very poor resolution & centering.... and the rate of change of position is not the same rate as the controller ......... I have had excellent MG90S from Ebay before .....but NOT this time.
I bought 4 HXT900 from hobbyking and 2 are shite. When under load they don't center back where they should. So I was fighting the plane like a bastard as aelerons wouldn't center after a turn. Total wank.

Hi, can you change to rotate 360 ° continius ?

Hi. The MG90 servo motor can make the smallest angle. How many millisecond intervals can I run in PWM wave?
That really sucks.I desire a FULL metal gear servo.
More resolution = more power consumption. Same as tv screens and lcd’s

what is the best micro servo you have ever had ?
TowerPro MG90D - a US$5 servo that is basically a much better version of the MG90S.

Nice comparison

thanks,it is helping
Tower Pro is BAD. They use crappy sensors.
slow and noisy
