One small correction to what Martin said at 2:35: the mythical creature that sits on sleepers chests and gives them paralysis is an Alp (Germanic folklore) or Maere in Old English (from which the term nightmare is derived). By contrast, mummers were groups of travelling medieval English musical play performers (an individual actor was a mummer) who performed folk plays that often combined Christian and pagan elements. They are still performed as part of preserved folk traditions in rural parts of England during Christmas and before harvest time.

If only I could stay up until 1am to watch this over in Europe, I'd take on this challenge!

Entertaining episode. I kept trying to compare Uriah Heep’s Very ‘Eavy… UK cover with something, but couldn’t come up with something (certainly not something by XTC).

P.S. the UK cover of Salisbury has a tank on it - that really would cause some difficulty breathing if it rolled across your chest!

I’m going to give this a try. Swap the Cramps A Date with Elvis for the Smiths single Shoplifters of the World cuz it features Elvis, then you could use Strangeways Here We Come for Songs the Lord Taught Us

That's a tough assignment...I gave it a shot and came up with a swap of The Cure/ Grand Funk Railroad (given some covers will have to swap the faces of the musicians...). Thought it would be fun to swap 2 bands that have very little in common...
    1. The Cure-Faith/ GFR-Closer To Home (Faith features a house/ home, and CtH has sort of a icon-like type of prtrait of the band, plus GFR always has a bit of a religious side.
    2. The Cure-Pornography/ GFR-All the Girls in the World Beware!!! (the GFR album has a "porn"/ nudity side to it and the cover of Pornography depicts 3 devil looking guys which girls should really try to avoid...
    3. The Cure-Songs of a Lost World/ GFR-Survival. Having the title Survival on the cover of the latest Cure album could be asking the question of What will remain of the human race? Art? Could Art (here a sculpture) be the only form of true survival of the Human kind? And then the cover of Survival itself sort of depicts a lost world...
    Cheers.
