  • Within Elk Island National Park, there is a Ukrainian House that has a history dating back to 1951. The house was the first memorial and museum in Canadian history dedicated to the Ukrainian settlers who came to Canada. It was also opened by Prime Minister Louis St. Laurent.

    When I visited the train museum in Revelstoke those old steam locomotives used alot of oil. I think they held 10 thousand gallons for the engine.
