I just went to their site and in the first paragraph on the home page it states, "Rather it's cleaning out your basement, or working on a construction site, we have you covered. We have a wide variety of dumpster sizes, porter potty's and portable storage containers". The "Rather" instead of Whether and the "Porter Potty" instead of Porta Potty, throws up that overseas scam flag. It also looks like other than dumpster companies, they are also hitting porta potty, portable storage and table, tent and chair companies.
The first rule of scamming is don't get caught. It's also rule #2 and 3. If you make it a little more difficult for them they will just move on to the next vendor. Taking payment onsite with credit card and ID will stop most scammers. If they are not there and need to prepay then you should require 3 days before delivering dumpster for credit card to clear
Taking payments on site is not really an option. My truck doesn’t roll unless we are paid in advance. But I appreciate the comment and view. I have changed several things about my booking process, including anything questionable, to require the customer to be at the drop off with ID confirmation and cc used.
I'd see about making people provide photo ID Via the Online booking and if the name doesn't match the card its a hard pass. It takes 5 seconds to snap a picture of your license with your phone.
@@nickhassler2727 it sure does, but as a consumer, you should never ever EVER send id copies to regular businesses in addition to my credit card info.... this is a recipe for having identity stolen (and in fact, has happened to me with seemingly a VERY large company, not just mom and pop shops, it was a financial company)... all it takes is one skeevy employee with access to customer info and with your cc and id he can do a ton of damage when he leaves the compnay

The simplest way around those disputes is to charge the maximum upfront, and return overpayment through “rebate” to the customer after you have dumped their container, confirming the weight, and whether or not they “snuck in” any prohibited items, etc.

We had this happen with junk removal. We got a call to pick up new tires from a tire shop and deliver them to a mechanic. The tire shop was a few towns away from me. The address being delivered was over 100 miles. I had this happen before , so I called the tire shop to confirm and also the address being delivered to. By the end of the day a detective called me to inform me , these scammers use stolen credits cards to purchase new tires and then sell them on the black market.

Container providers make for a good target. 1) There’s an extra degree of separation. As long as a box shows up on the job site, the contractor believes he has utilized a valid business. @@tomcat5986 they absolutely have safety nets, but these are not fake credit cards, they are legitimate stolen credit cards and they had all the main things needed. Lien the property and obviously make sure the contract is written as to make a lien easy to execute. F scammers
Thanks for the watch and comment!
Run down to the FBI office let them deal with it. That's a lot of crimes. People don't understand you got to live off what you bring in. Or they just don't care. Hopefully you get paid for everything.
I ran into all kinds of dead ends on pursuing this one. Finally realized it just wasnt worth my time and decided to write it off.
Sometimes it's great to have a lawyer.. that's 1 thing dealing online
I am honestly thinking about having one on retainer. Appreciate the watch!
Why not go after the Cheap Dumpsters Co who committed the fraud, most customers don't know what it costs.
I went after everyone, sort of how a lawyer does it.
I hate scammers!
everybody trying to make money off others business they own no dumpsters but provide dumpsters for rent thats not who a customer should contact just contact the real owner operators
ALWAYS try to sell for customers to SHOP LOCAL!! F the Brokers!
@@AmericanAFDumpsters thats right 👍
Trilogy media goes after scammers
Will have to look into them, thanks!
Hola, me puedes enviar un saludo! Te sigo desde Cali colombia.
Que paso Alexander!! Gracias por el comment!
Tell the customer to do a charge back on the Broker
Customer was just hoping he wasn't getting screwed too. He didn't like being in the middle of it.
If the customer is on site at delivery have them verify the last 4 of the card maybe?
Yes, that is definitely an option. Especially if you are weary already to begin with! Appreciate the watch!
I haven't finished watching yet, but is it Ultimate Dumpsters that scammed you? They tried to pull a fast one on me but I caught them.
What did they do? Cause there is a ultimate dumpsters near me.
Low Rate Dumpsters
@@AmericanAFDumpsters Wonder how that person caught scamsters.
Go after the scammer. This appears to be a federal crime. Try FBI.
Lolz-the corrupt FBI is too busy punishing Patriots.
I tried, no response back. Thanks for the watch and comment!
I think I missed it, did you get changed backs? That’s sucks I would definitely place a lean on there property, also get ahold of the FBI, they have a fraudulent department and because low rate is doing business out of state, maybe that would be a felony. Hope for the best.
did you get a chargeback yet?
Yes sir they are rolling in unfortunately.
@@AmericanAFDumpsters You should be protected by you CC processor , i would dispute the chargebacks
@@AmericanAFDumpsters That's something I was wondering about. Doesn't DRS have any "safety net" built in with the card companies like we have fraud protection on our cc's when something like this happens. I know I've been reimbursed by Visa, MC, etc a few times before. Why would this be any different?
@@tomcat5986 they absolutely have safety nets, but these are not fake credit cards, they are legitimate stolen credit cards and they had all the main things needed. Number, matching name, matching address and CVV code. It went through because the card is actually valid. Once the card owner realizes their card was used, we are long gone. Can’t win a chargeback dispute if the card was indeed used fraudulently is my experience with fighting these charges. More than likely I will waste my time fighting the chargeback and the signature won’t match.
Personally I woulda taken the hit and learn from it. And from a home owners stand I’d go to court and make it financially uncomfortable for you
That's why there are courtrooms, to settle peoples opposing views & disputes.
People really can suck. Always looking to steal from a hardworking person.
Have them provide a copy of ID when booking!
Thanks for the watch and comment!
no bussiness is better than scam busines
Very true. Perfect example, the hackers now and the whole thing at the MGM in Vegas!
I will tell you who these people are and I have no proof But I guarantee They are indian And not the american one
Possibly but the guy I talked to was from Michigan and definitely had a Midwest voice.
Its sad that people scam others. I just got scammed recently myself
Sorry to hear that brother. I am a strong believer in Karma. God will sort it out.
Man that's no bueno
No sir not at all!
Quite an intro
Appreciated!
Well sounds like you need to stop doing an online Bookings
Just had to add a few more security features to help block out scammers like this.
Yes, the amount of fraud is getting worse. Just imagine how bad it will get when we go to a digital currency!
Thanks for the watch and comment!
Make public stonings great again
Ha I wish!! An eye for an eye in my book.
They will just change their name on and on again
Unfortunatley, very true.
do business face to face with your customers stop the bullshit calls and hang up if it smells bad ,
Impossible this day and age to run a business and do ALL business face to face.
Reporting them to the Better Business will that help to exposed them
Correct 👍🏼
Would this be a fbi thing considering they are doing it nationwide with credit cards?
It should be but not a big enough concern for them tbh
Stop registering your businesses with leads business.
Thanks for the watch and comment!
I fail to see how this is a 40 minute video.
It was a long story to explain. 🤷🏻♂️
@@AmericanAFDumpsters Shake off the rude ones, please keep giving us great info. You are a very generous sweet soul!
I don't respect the fact that your trying to connect with his content and get distracted by the 10 ads he place.. douchy
No clue what you're talking about but thanks for commenting and watching regardless.
@@AmericanAFDumpsters your good.. YT broke me down... am Finally getting the paid version I can't take it.. on that video no less than 7 30 seconds ads.. bit much..
You lost me about half way through the story
Thanks for the watch and comment!
Funny. Longest short vidio on the net. Lol. Um I heard a Gm gets all these people to build houses. Then pays nobody.. and only half will sue. So they only pay. Half. And they keep doing it. Only in America. Lol . Lol lol 😮😮😮😮😮😮😮
I really tried to keep it short but I had so much to say!!! Lol my bad!! And honestly people don't know how much it actually costs to sue someone. Sometimes it's easier to just write off the loss vs actually losing much more. This was exactly my lawyers advice.... SMH
@@AmericanAFDumpstersDo not apologize! Unfortunately a risk of posting online and being so nice to want to help others you encounter ungrateful rude people. We are grateful for you and your information and have been listening to you for months and months!!!
I thought these ghetto ticking intros died died during the pandemic.
Hope you're talking about the scammers lol
too long
This is why i dont do online bookings, always get it over the phone.
Keep in mind they scammed one guy in Michigan via phone calls and text. No online bookings there.
Can still get scammed that way too...
Do not allow transactions involving third parties.
By dealing with the customer directly, you at least have recourse if there’s a problem.
Third parties can simply vanish, leaving everyone else holding the bag…. That’s what makes it a scam.
Can you take any longer to tell a simple story?
I probably could have but then I wouldn’t have the honors of seeing this smart ass comment…. 🤷🏻♂️
@@AmericanAFDumpsters Just breaking your balls for some sarcastic comedy.......
get to the point ! dude.
My bad, dude! I'll work on keeping it short and sweet for you next time. Thanks for the heads up!
I know. Don’t want to be mean but so many videos on YT can be completed in half the time with some word efficiency. Filibustering bad.
