  • During the start of the Fallout universe a company known as Vault-Tec were asked to build 122 nuclear bunkers in case nuclear war was to come to America. These Vault's would look idyllic but would house deep and dark secrets from the inhabitants. Some that were truly disturbing!
    So in this video I look at 10 of the most disturbing vaults within the universe and why you'd NEVER want to be assigned to these vaults.

After about halfway through the Garden of Eden quest my soul always just felt so tired and heavy being in 87 for so long, but it's in a good way. They're absolutely horrifying but it's important to realize that things like this have happened and do happen regularly in the real world as well. It's been a while so I could be wrong, but I think your explanation of Vault 11 is a bit off. The way I remember it, during the last cycle some people wanted to fight against the computer, and others didn't because they were convinced the computer would kill them all. This lead to a war in the vault between the 2 factions, which explains all the skeletons inside (also I seem to remember things like barricades for cover and lots of weapons laying around). At the end there were just the 5 people left, and they were the ones to say "enough is enough" and got the "congratulations" message. Then realizing all the people died for nothing, formed the suicide pact that we hear in the audio log. I also got the impression that the 5th person basically chickened out, and them leaving wasn't the original plan.

    • @Sonichero151
      @Sonichero151 Год назад

      I think the main fault in the experiment was how they were informed of it...... they were told by a computer voice....... and outside of HAL 9000 and GlaDoS, no one would ever think a Computer could lie to them. If it was done with a person telling them and authenticating maybe then shit wouldn't have gone so wrong. But it show what happens when you leave automation to do a nuanced task meant for a living being

    • @ZeroSuitSamo
      @ZeroSuitSamo Год назад

      @@Sonichero151 maybe, but I think that only really applies to AIs, which both Glados and HAL were. This was just a simple computer relaying instructions pre-programmed by Vault Tec. And yeah I guess they could have interpreted it how you described, but I think that is just overthinking it tbh. Imo the simple answer isjust that if given the choice between killing one or killing all, yourself included, people are always going to choose the one. It wasn't until they had nothing left to lose that they said fuck it and said no to the computer.

      They beat out 3’s ambient score every time for me. There was another RUclipsr who pointed out that what made the first two soundtracks great was that they weren’t really sounding like traditional instrumental pieces but like the final lurch of a dying world. I’m paraphrasing but that was the gist. I felt like they were to on the nose with 3’s ambience with the patriotic sound. I felt like they hammed it up because it took place in DC
