      Hi Angelle can you please convince more Seychellois/Seychelloise to move to London and open some Seychellois restaurants? 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
      Way back in 2006 a Seychellois restaurant was opened in London that was called Kaz Kreol and it was in Camden in the north London area. A really nice Seychellois guy owned it and ran it and his brothers worked for him cooking in there and his two nephews were the waiters.
      The Kaz Kreol restaurant had the best food ever ❤️❤️❤️❤️ and it was my first introduction to Seychellois cuisine and how wonderful it all tastes. That restaurant was one of the reasons I visited the Seychelles during Christmas in 2016 where I stayed on La Digue.
      But sadly the Kaz Kreol restaurant closed down between 2009 and 2011 and there aren’t any other Seychellois restaurants in London other than the odd pop up restaurant or food stalls that go around to different parts of London.
      I still miss Kaz Kreol’s food so much 😭🤧
      To be honest I think that the Kaz Kreol restaurant closed down because it was in a location that was far too residential. It was way down in the middle of the street that’s called Pratt Street and was surrounded by flats and it wasn’t on Camden High Street where it should have been where a lot of tourists and locals could go and discover a newer restaurant and the beauty of Seychellois cuisine. It’s such a pity.

      @@jrmetmoi I would love that. I always miss creole food, it would be great to have a creole restaurant here. Maybe in the future someone would open another restaurant.

    By the way I highly recommend staying at the B&B in La Digue called Bernique Guest House which is on La Passe right before you get to the Chateau Saint Cloud Hotel.
    I stayed in the Bernique Guest House for eight nights during Christmas in 2016 and it’s very clean, has very large rooms and it has the best breakfasts that I’ve ever eaten on a vaycay to this very day! The coffee at Bernique Guest House tastes like the happy tears of the angels and is still the best coffee I’ve ever tasted in my entire life.
    Shout outs to Sylvania the owner of the Bernique Guest House and her business partner Beryl who is such a sweetheart ❤❤️❤️❤️

    • @TheAwkwardTourists
      @TheAwkwardTourists  2 года назад +1

      Wow, That is quite the coffee hype up! It can be difficult to find good strong coffee while traveling, so I understand the importance of finding a good spot. If we get back there we will have to check it out. Thanks for the recommendation!

    • @jrmetmoi
      @jrmetmoi 2 года назад

      @@TheAwkwardTourists you’re welcome. Seriously though the homemade breakfasts at Bernique Guest House are made from scratch. On Expedia etc they say that Bernique Guest House offers a continental breakfast and that’s not true they offer a hot cooked breakfast too. They change up their fresh fruit plates every morning and Sylvania makes her own fruit jams and preserves and she changes those up every morning too. The hot cooked breakfast is made from scratch and Sylvania changes that up each morning too - she makes items for breakfast like Belgian waffles, crepes, banana bread, banana fritters, banana pie etc and she serves them up with a bunch of slices of cheese. If Bernique Guest House gets a fresh bunch of eggs in then Sylvania will offer you a fried egg or an omelette.
      I wasn’t exaggerating about the coffee served there either - it’s just absolutely unreal ❤️❤️❤️❤️

    Great video. What are the COVID measures and rules on the Seychelles currently. Do you have to wear masks or test every once in a while? I will be going there in July so this info would help me a lot!

    • @TheAwkwardTourists
      @TheAwkwardTourists  2 года назад

      We did not need a covid test to enter Seychelles at the time of filming this. However, you do need to fill out a travel form that is pretty detailed, and that has to be done ahead of time. If you don't do it you have to pay a 70 Euro rush processing fee and you might come very close to missing your flight......not like we did that or anything......
