Do you mean you can't change their association (base point, survey point, etc.)? If so: I don't have revit open to check, but that is typically a setting under edit type? If not, I believe it would be under the overall topo setting, under the massing and site tab.
@@raekell It turns out my Elevation base under properties was project based. It does not work on survey point neither. It has to be on Relative then you will be able to select either Current Level or one of your levels
very helpful but im struggling with something, could you kindly guide.. The autocad file given to us by faculty is messed up so im trying to plot one on revit on my own like you showed. But the plot has repeated contour lines so while plotting them the picture is getting covered so i dont know where to plot cause my guidelines are not seen.. What can i do to solve this?

You can hit VV and hide the massing or the contour lines (imported DWG) to hide the things you do not want to be doubled at printing
