    This is cool.. Hand made does make a difference. Our ancestors made these figures and decorations because it brought the life of the vessels own being. Thanks for this!

    Thank you Sir for your craftsmanship and artistry skill & dedication to keeping this woodworking craft alive. Many will not appreciate the importance of crafting these figure heads, or the history of them & their contribution to maritime history & shipping. Others like myself interested in all things to do with maritime history and shipping preservation will appreciate it. So once again, thank you very much

    Thank you , truly insperational , i have just aquired a boat with a bow sprit and an empty space beneth, i was contemplating making a figure head, i am a wood workerand have done some wood carving in the past. Im intrested in what preservative you will use . I would be leaning towards a stockholm tar linseed oil mix with a few spoons of borax thrown in. Do you have a different fomula you might divulge .
