You can sense in his words, he means them, he is genuinely interested in every drop of water which goes over the hill in the manchester united waterfall. The issue we have, is that we don't have the players who are willing to make that connection with the manager. Despite some talent in the squad, the leadership and behaviour isn't there from all the players . . . and they are the ones that RA has shown need to leave asap. He did exactly the same thing at Sporting.

I love how Amorim is honest about the inconsistency of the performances of his players. Since the beggining he keeps saying that he's focus is week by week, not thinking about the "level" of the other team, and taking every game as a final, and we have proofs that this players don't understand his mindset and only take the derbies seriously. The problem maybe is not confidence but being too cocky in most of the games, and not taking the head coach seriously. It's inevitable that he will succeed, but United will definetlly have a player reform, till he gets the players that take his approach seriously and sweat the shirt in every game.
The players know who's boss already imo, he's shown Rashford the door and checked Garnacho already. The aging and injury prone players will be gone in due course. I keep seeing Sporting fans saying he is ruthless and I believe them. These players will either shape up or ship out, no point revolting as there's only going to be one winner 😂

Now that he has less pressure on his shoulders and knows that the players are safer from criticism, he’s letting it out. Imagine having this kind of performance against forest, wolves or Bournemouth… It’s the attitude and the willingness to fight, not the system. It’s still a long way to go, let’s try to build on this! He's just basically cracking the whip, he's already shown the laziest player the way to the exit door and put Garnacho in check. It's partly down to attitude and he's already addressed the main culprit and shown him the exit door, he's also checked Garnacho who has deleted twitter and appears to be knuckling down but let's not fool ourselves this squad is low on quality and high on injury prone players, it's wafer thin depth wise. Take Ugarte and Bruno out of that game and replace with Cas n Eriksen we probably get comprehensively beaten as they have no legs.

I totally get where he's coming from saying he's angry and upset.
Because if he said he was happy the players would sit back and relax, and they'd just slip back into the old ways again, but if the manager says he's still not happy then they will keep on pushing.
And they really do need to keep on pushing, it needs to be the rule, and not just a once-off just because it was Liverpool.
