The monsters and environment still look a lot like the first one, not seeing much that sets it apart from the first one. It kind of looks like an expansion instead of a new game. They're asking $70, so I expect more.
@sophieedel6324 they kept the way the art style was imagined to be, we don't have 720p xbox 360 graphics anymore, we got 4k HD R.E. Engine graphics. Of course the way the enviroment and monsters look the same... you know... how a zombie in resident evil looks the same... in all 20+ resident evil games they've made... and yet people still buy em... They weren't going for realistic graphics, not every new game out wants to go realistic, they're going for their own style and it's been working for them.
To be honest I thought they would have shown of some of the more iconic monsters by now. I expected a reveal for the hydra and cockertrice by now, but I guess we’re just gonna have to wait till the release to se them. It’s a shame tho I would have loved to se there updated models before release.
@@irecordwithaphone1856 I don’t doubt that for sure, but then they also came out and said in that same video that they were more like variations of already seen monsters. Like I’m assuming they meant the lava saurians, and other regional variants of monsters for bahtal, like they shown with the ogre/saurains/wolf variations there. If there adding the majority of enemies in from the last game into this one there’s nearly 100 enemies to add with over 70 of them being said monsters not including variants, now I’d be really happy if we got say 60 returning monsters but idk how realistic that is.

I really hope there are a lot more monsters. I don't see a hydra or evil eye and there's still all the end game monsters that appear as well as those in dark arisen. Dragon's Dogma Online had even more. Hopefully they're just hiding most of them but it's a little worrisome since all these videos show the person fighting all the exact same monsters.
please, you need at least double the types of monsters found in the open world, they are amazing, but it is getting very repetitive killing goblins, harpies and cyclops all the time
Pretty disappointed by the lack of new things. The mobs are still the same mostly. Lack of mob variety was already a problem in the first game, I'm not looking forward to climbing another 40 cyclops. If this had been a $30 expansion I would have less issues with it, but at $70....that's steep for a game that hasn't changed a lot, if anything.
I'm beginning to become skeptical as they keep on starting to show the same gameplay clips again and again... There's gotta be more than this, surely, so why don't they show a little more ?
Because they're not Ubisoft and EA and aren't okay with spoiling everything before release so that you get hyped until the hype dies the moment you start playing, cause all that matters is the money you've wasted. That's the streamers' job
@@WitcherGrandMaster It is, considering the first game already lacked mob variety. It seems increasingly clear this is "cut content" from the first game, repackaged as a new game. Gameplay wise little seems to have changed too.
I've noticed that some of the NPC's look like from PS2.The game looks good but looks cheap in places it's obvious a capcom game and it shows.I just hope it's actually good

IGN in one of their videos said that they saw monsters they weren't allowed to mention in videos so I think we're going to see a lot more

Hopefully there are some more monsters that we'll get to see for the first when game releases

I am very excited for DD2. But is it really a sequel, or a remake with the cut content included?
It takes place in a parallel world so it's both a successor to the first game as well as a "soft reboot" so to speak.
