This is worth thinking about. When we buy crystals, how often do we check with the seller how they have been sourced and if they have been sourced ethically? Factory-made jewels are very different from working with crystals from deep within the Earth. Lab-grown diamonds are just for show. But yes, I think this is worth considering. I'll admit that I don't understand crystals, and their uses too much. I carry a piece of amethyst in my pocket, as well as sodalite because I think someone told me it's good to carry some around with you. Do I understand why? I guess I am trying to align myself with the power of the crystals, and I thought maybe they'd guide me in some way. I'm not sure I can think of them as a "living entity", although I'd accept that they may be spiritual from a certain point of view.

I feel I can at least do my part and I will start asking and be more selective of the crystals I buy. Also, I’m going to take out the crystals I rarely use and just make space for them. Making sure they get sun and moon light.

I believe mining for crystals are ethical but similar to cutting down trees there needs to be a boundary of how much can be taken yearly.
Its hard to trust where the buy crystals from because you won't always know where they're sourced or if they're even real.
I do believe that crystals can carry an aspect of trauma but with the right amount of cleansing and giving it positive energy it can still function normal.
This also opens the door into other spiritual tools like Incense, Candles and Oils.
I get so upset when I hear about trees being cut down. It makes me so sad. It's all about being more mindful. Thank you for your thoughts ❤❤❤❤❤
I hate it when people throw crystals away or they grind them up into a powder just to make "beauty products " . I always tell people if they do not want there crystals to bury them in the ground if they have no one to give them too . At least they will be in the ground .
