The more i watch Johnny Sack, the more i like him.
He was a straight up guy, and defended Tony when he didn't have to. Little Carmine always seemed like a wannabe philosopher, trying to sound deeper and more intelligent than he really was by spewing word salad. It only took a few words from his father to make him jealous of Tony, even though he was trying to defend him a minute earlier.

“I’m not sure that I like that he did that end run” Carmine Sr. didn’t really care too much about HUD, he was schooling his son on how not to be taken advantage of, and how to set boundaries with people trying to stick their nose in his lineage. When Carmine Jr. retracted, it proved to Carmine Sr. that Tony was running game on his son; trying too hard and overreaching to impress his father. It’s almost like Carmine Sr. foresaw his son becoming the puppet in a power vacuum before it even happened, and tried to warn him in his own way. It took little Carmine a while, but he was smart enough to put the pieces together in the end.

Generally people mispronounce words when they have only read them. Little Carmine doesn't strike me as much of a reader.
    Either way, who mispronounces "debacle"?

It wasn't Little Carmine who was manipulating here.... Carmine threw him a bone with that "calling Tony Soprano a son" and he went after it.
    Very allegorical, the whole scene.
